There have been a few letters sent out in error, and in many cases, Infinity is still able to be your pharmacy of choice.

📝 How to Refer a New Patient

1. A provider or parent identifies the need for high-quality, high-touch specialty pharmacy services.

2. The physician’s office submits prescriptions via:
• e-Prescribe: Infinity Pharmacy Solutions Specialty Services – Richardson, TX (Suite 100)
• Fax: 214-765-5466
• Phone: 214-765-5470

3. The physician’s office sends the following documentation to Infinity Pharmacy by fax (214-765-5466) or email (info@infinityspecialty.com):
• Patient full name
• Date of birth
• Current insurance information (if available)
• Associated diagnosis
• Current medication list (medication reconciliation)
• Current pharmacy (if known)
• Responsible party’s contact information

4. Infinity Pharmacy contacts the family to complete patient onboarding.

5. If applicable, Infinity Pharmacy coordinates with the patient’s current pharmacy to transfer existing medications.

6. Infinity’s Prior Authorization nursing team collaborates with the physician’s office as needed.

7. Infinity Pharmacy contacts the patient to confirm medications and schedule home delivery, or coordinates with the hospital discharge nurse for delivery prior to discharge when applicable.

We’re aware that some families received a letter from BCBS of Texas stating that Infinity Specialty Pharmacy is no longer in-network and that prescriptions would need to be transferred.

👉 This information is incorrect.

After reviewing the situation, we confirmed this was an error from a third party and it has been resolved.

✅ Infinity Specialty Pharmacy is still in-network
✅ We will remain in-network
✅ No action is needed from families
✅ No prescriptions need to be moved or transferred

Cold weather and winter storms can impact how your medications are stored and how well they work. Here are a few important tips to help keep your medications safe during freezing temperatures and power outages:

💊 Store at the right temperature
Most medications should be kept at room temperature unless otherwise directed. Avoid leaving medications in cars, garages, or near windows where temperatures can drop below freezing.

🧊 Protect temperature-sensitive meds
Medications like injectables, biologics, and certain specialty medications can be damaged by freezing. Keep them in the refrigerator only if directed—and never let them freeze.

🚗 Travel smart
If you must travel, keep medications with you inside the vehicle (not the trunk). Use insulated bags if needed during extreme cold.

🔌 Prepare for power outages
If your medication requires refrigeration, have a plan in place:
• Keep fridge doors closed as much as possible
• Use ice packs in a cooler if needed

Due to inclement weather, Infinity Pharmacy, Specialty Services will not be scheduling deliveries on Saturday, January 24th.

📦 We will work to schedule as many deliveries as possible on Thursday and Friday.
