West Hawaii Community Health Center (serving the West Side of Hawaii Island, in Kailua-Kona, Kealakehe, Kealakekua, and Waikoloa) and Bay Clinic (Serving the East Side of Hawaii Island, in Hilo, Kea'au, Pahoa, and Ka'u) are merging to serve patients island-wide as Hawaii Island Community Health Center. We are a non-profit federally qualified health center, providing access to integrated high quality care for those in need throughout our service area.

We're partnering with PATH and Better Bike Share to offer another FREE Community bike ride in Kona. RSVP to guarantee a bike on us! All you have to do is bring your own helmet.

This event is open to keiki of all ages and provides resources and a safe space to explore tons of fun activities.

Join us at this FREE Community Fair at Na Kahua Hale O Ulu Wini, this Friday July 18th from 10am-2pm.

This event will have free haircuts, games and activities for the whole 'ohana; lunch will be provided. Stick around for the Backpack giveaway too!

Our School Based Health team will be at the event sharing program resources, scheduling Well-Child exam appointments, and assisting with any school health requirements and other health concerns to get your keiki prepped for the new school year!

We're expanding our School Based Health services!

Our team is now providing care at Waikoloa Elementary & Middle School. With the support of Hawai'i County, we are able to expand School Based Health services with the use of our new Mobile Health Units (MHU), which are essentially a clinic on wheels! These MHU's make accessing essential medical, behavioral and preventative health services so much easier for students and families across the island.

Are you looking for an entry-level job in health care? Do you have a passion for helping members of our community to receive the care they need?

Then our Referrals Specialist position may be perfect for you! In this role, you will coordinate external patient referrals and support follow-up care alongside the provider and care team. You will manage medical records, maintain patient files, collect data and assist with patient travel arrangements.

You'll be playing a pivotal role behind the scenes to make sure our patients are getting connected with their healthcare needs!

Highschool diploma or equivalent and at least one year related clinical office experience and/or training is required to excel at this role. Preferred, if you have experience including knowledge of insurance programs like Quest, understanding of Hawai'i healthcare networks, and basic coding skills using ICD-10 and CPT. If not, we'll teach you everything you need to know!
