💬 “My child doesn’t want summer break. He’s angry, crying, can’t sleep.”
Yes, that happens. Children with autism, speech delay, or sensory sensitivity often struggle with change - even with good ones.

Here’s what helps:
1️⃣ Talk ahead of time: “School is ending soon. We’ll be home for summer.”
2️⃣ Use a visual calendar to mark the countdown and show the new summer routine.
3️⃣ Keep familiar anchors: same bedtime, favorite cup, morning rituals - they feel safe.
4️⃣ Offer choices: give 2–3 options per day so your child feels some control.
5️⃣ Validate the fear: “You feel worried because everything is changing. I’m here.”

📌 Transitions don’t have to be scary - if they are clear and kind.

📌Top 5 Games Using Everyday Materials:

1. «Color Sorting» - develops color recognition and logical thinking.

✅Gather different colored objects from around the house, such as blocks, toys, or buttons. Encourage children to sort these items by color, creating different groups. Then, have them describe their actions and explain which items belong to each group. This helps develop their color recognition and logical thinking abilities.

2. «Creative Sand Drawing» - develops fine motor skills and imagination.

✅Take a large flat plate or sturdy plastic sheet and pour sand onto it. Children can use sticks, fingers, or other tools to draw and create patterns in the sand. This helps develop their fine motor skills and stimulates their imagination and creativity.

3. «Guess the Sound» - develops perception and attention.

✅Collect various objects that produce distinct sounds, such as a metal spoon, a plastic bottle with rice, or a bell. Ask children to close their eyes and guess which object is making each sound. This activity enhances their sound perception and improves their attention and concentration.

4. «Bubble Game» - develops hand-eye coordination and perception.

✅Use children’s bubble solution or simple soap to create bubbles. Encourage children to catch bubbles with their hands or blow on them. This helps develop their hand-eye coordination and provides entertainment while enhancing their perception.

5. «Playdough Fun» - develops motor skills and creativity.

✅Provide children with vibrant colors of playdough and allow them to mold and create various shapes. This activity helps develop their motor skills and stimulates their creative thinking.
