Did you know humming can actually calm your nervous system?

It’s more than just a soothing sound—humming stimulates the vagus nerve, regulates your breath, and helps shift your body into a more relaxed state. It’s a simple, powerful tool you can access anytime, anywhere.

This , let’s celebrate the small, accessible practices that support our well-being. Try humming for a minute or two today and notice how you feel.

Harmonee Moon is a small town girl that has always had a big sound. A singer since elementary school and songwriter since junior high, music has always been part of her identity as far back as she can remember. Her late father was such a huge inspiration for her in never letting her shine away from what he’d always considered a God given talent. But for her, music was always therapeutic. It’s always been a way to express herself and share her thoughts with the world. Catch her at our RITUAL & RELEASE: live music + poetry benefiting Mental Health Heroes event on November 9th. Proceeds will be matched to support Helene relief efforts. Get your tickets here:

🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day! 💚🌍

Mental Health Heroes is proud to support the work of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center. Today, we stand together to raise awareness, fight stigma, and advocate for mental health care for ALL.

Mental health is just as important as physical health—yet so many go without the support they need. It’s okay to ask for help, and it’s okay to offer it. Let’s make sure everyone in our community knows they are not alone.

💬 Share your mental health journey or a resource that has helped you. 🤝 Reach out to someone who may need support. 💡 Learn more about the services we support and how you can get involved!

Together, we can make a difference. Because no one should face their challenges alone. 🧠💙

In a world shaken by escalating wars and the devastating loss of life from natural disasters, death and impermanence have become more immediate and unavoidable realities. Yet, these profound experiences and the emotions surrounding them often remain deeply taboo in conversation. Ritual & Release offers an opportunity to lift that veil and confront these truths through the transformative power of live music and poetry. Join us as we create a space for deep reflection, healing, and connection through the language of rhythm, song, and spoken word.

Featuring performances from some of the Lowcountry's most gifted musicians and poets, along with dynamic projection design by Colby Cofield, Ritual & Release invites us to embrace the cycles of life, let go of what no longer serves us, and find beauty and grace in the face of loss and change. Whether you're navigating personal sorrow, in a time of transition, or seeking to connect with others on a shared journey of surrender and renewal, we offer a collective experience of release and resilience in the face of life's impermanence.

All proceeds from the evening will support Mental Health Heroes, a 501c3 nonprofit organization established to support the work of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center (CDMHC) by securing financial resources to help men, women, and children experiencing mental illness in our community, by designing a system and process that allows CDMHC to respond quickly to the needs of patients, and by giving CDMHC access to grants and other resources that would otherwise be unavailable to CDMHC. For every dollar raised benefiting Mental Health Heroes our sponsor Thinktanks will match with support for Hurricane Helene Relief ❤

One of the highlights of this year's Lowcountry Mental Health Conference conference was a meaningful conversation with and performance by country music artist Chase Bryant, who opened up about his struggles with depression and how he found his way out of the darkness.

Outside the stage lights, country music artist Chase Bryant was tormented by dark thoughts that nearly ended his life. He survived with therapy and his faith.
