Residents and staff at The Pavilion Health Center at Brightmore kicked off National Wellness Month with a lively Feel-Good Friday celebration that included singing, dancing and lots of joy! 🎶💃🕺

Each week in August, our team will be participating in special wellness activities to promote health, happiness and connection throughout the community. We’re off to a great start!

“After a lengthy stay in the hospital, my mother was in need of rehab and skilled nursing care. After searching what was available in my area, I am happy to say I chose Warren Hills. All of the staff were amazing and they were always willing to answer any questions I had. The nurses were attentive, compassionate, and took great care of her.

Unfortunately, her poor health resulted in a need for hospice, however, I found comfort from the excellent care that she received until she gained her angel wings. You folks are angels on earth and I appreciate you all!”

It’s been a lively summer at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Johnston County!

Our “Green Thumbs” Garden Club has been soaking up the sunshine while tending to our tomato plants—watering, weeding, and enjoying time outdoors together. There's nothing like a little gardening to lift the spirits and keep things growing! 🌱

And a big thank you to Red Hill PFWB Church for spreading kindness and refreshment by stopping by to pass out fresh watermelon to our residents on a hot summer day. Their thoughtful visit brought lots of smiles! 🍉

We’re so grateful for our residents and caring community partners who make days like these extra special.

💄 National Lipstick Day was full of smiles, style and self-expression at The Pavilion Health Center at Brightmore!

Residents picked out their favorite shades, admired their new looks in handheld mirrors, and took home the lipsticks that made them feel the most confident. 💋 What's your go-to shade?

Thank you to Loretta Gersch and her family for making homemade chocolate and vanilla ice cream for our residents and staff at Mary Gran Nursing Center! With a variety of toppings and smiles all around, it was the perfect way to cool off in the summer heat. 🍨

As residents enjoyed their sweet treats, they shared joyful stories of making ice cream in their younger years—filling the room with laughter, nostalgia, and heartwarming conversation. Simple joys can be so meaningful. 💙

Congratulations to Liberty Hospice of Dunn for receiving this week's ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ REVIEW OF THE WEEK.

“I lost my mother this month due to dementia. My mother's dementia was difficult because of many changes in a short period of time. In the weeks before her death, I can't thank the team from Liberty Hospice enough for being there for not only my mother, but for our whole family.

We met with Christy in the beginning, then Raven and Judy, and they both were very caring and helpful. We were so thankful for them. A special thank you to my mother's nurse, Kelly W., who was always there for us all no matter what time of day. Losing a loved one, especially your mother, is so hard and it takes special people to walk with you through it and that's just what they did for us.”

🎶🙏 Residents at Shoreland Health Care and Retirement Center were uplifted by a recent visit from the Whiteville Church of Christ.

The group graciously shared the gospel and filled our halls with the joyful sounds of gospel music. It was a beautiful time of fellowship and inspiration for all.

Residents from Roxboro Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed a scenic and delicious outing to one of their favorite local spots—Buoys on Hyco Lake! The view was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the smiles were plentiful. 🍽️

Opportunities like this are a wonderful way to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and make cherished memories together. 💙

At Mary Gran Nursing Center, even the simplest moments can leave a lasting impact.

Activities Director Alexis Tyson recently had the joy of spending one-on-one time with Mr. Rudolph, who taught her how to play checkers—complete with laughter and a little friendly competition! When asked if he was cheating, his laughter filled the room with joy. 🥰

These personal connections are so important. Meaningful one-on-one time reminds our residents just how valued and loved they are, and it also brings joy and fulfillment to our staff members, who cherish the bonds they build through these heartfelt moments. 💙
