When I talk about feelings, I often relate them to the chakras. A lot of people say they feel it in their gut and that’s true. That’s your sacral chakra (sometimes even solar plexus), the area that governs intuition, emotion, and creativity. That “funny feeling” in your gut is your body’s way of sending intuitive signals.
But even when those signals are loud, your response should come from the heart. The heart chakra is where we want to feel and lead from. Whether the decision is about love, boundaries, or even survival it’s the heart center that brings truth, compassion, and alignment.
This unique display features a hand-wrapped aventurine specimen resting on raw peridot growing from volcanic basalt.
Peridot is the gem quality form of the mineral olivine, formed deep within the Earth’s upper mantle under high pressure and temperature. It reaches the surface through volcanic eruptions, especially in basaltic lava flows. Peridot’s signature olive green color is due to iron content, and unlike most gemstones, it’s not formed in the Earth’s crust.
The volcanic host rock (basalt) seen here is a fine grained igneous rock that cools quickly at or near the Earth’s surface, often preserving gem minerals like peridot in their natural matrix.
This combination highlights the contrast between aventurine’s tranquil microcrystalline structure and peridot’s fiery origin deep within the Earth’s mantle.
