Lynn's Law

Lynn's Law Lynn's Law is about making public handicap restroom stalls accessible to disabled people with feedin Stalls should include a sink to allow for cleanup.

WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO:

Pass Lynn's Law to make public HP restroom stalls friendlier for those with ostomies, feeding tubes, IV's, and catheters

HP accessible stalls are not friendly to people who have ostomies, feeding tubes, IV lines, urinary catheters, or other similar medical devices. If people have an ostomy leak and need to change their bags, there is no way to do it discr

eetly. There should be a shelf at seated level to set out medical supplies for tubes, IV's, and ostomies. A hook should be provided next to the toilet to hang feeding bags. The floor is unsterile and the hooks on doors are too far. Sterility is crucial with these devices. A red sharps container is important for safe disposal of needles and syringes. HP stalls should be restricted to those whose physicians deem it necessary, similar to HP accessible parking spots. Patients can't wait without consequences. Published Date: Mar 10, 2016
