I wish I would have had a BCBA when my kid(s) were little who could have talked me through this one!

This silly meme might be 100% true... But what we, as the adults, need to realize is that if we *choose* to spend our time cooking, we are not doing it for our kids- not really. We do that for ourselves because we feel we need to, it's an obligation, it's what parents are supposed to do on holidays, it's what "good parents" do... Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter to our little or not-so-little kids at all. That's not what they want or need from their parents.

Best advice? LET IT GO. Who cares if your kid only eats a roll??? Isn't it more important that you don't spend the entire meal fighting with them? Isn't the real goal of a holiday to spend quality time together? Why not focus on THAT instead of what does or does not go in their mouths???

This holiday season, give those kids chicken nuggets 30 minutes before your feast, let them eat a roll and nothing else, and focus on the behaviors that ACTUALLY matter: sitting together, talking, laughing, and making happy memories.

Feeling very official this morning!

I submitted my initial application for IBHS licensure in PA on 1/6/23.

I received my license via email on 8/24/23.

That is 230 days, for those counting (me).

I almost can't believe I finally have it!!!! This means BIG things for my Erie county neighbors ❤️❤️❤️

I am so excited to announce that I am now accepting clients in Erie County, PA for insurance-funded ABA therapy services through IBHS! I'm so excited to start offering quality services to my community ❤️
