Happy Sunday!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to play in a benefit golf tournament!
Was a great day of golf with some amazing people.
In light of a great time, some small ignorance made its way into the day.
I want to explain that although I make this challenging life with paralysis and using a wheelchair daily for mobility…..it is anything but easy, physically and mentally.
I surely am a ball buster and try my best to make others laugh and see the best in everyone and everything! This being said, jokes focusing on my inability and making my activities of daily living more challenging, are just not fun, funny, or cool.
Please keep this in mind for all those you engage with, as although some of my challenges are visible, many peoples are not. Your behavior can have a very negative impact on such people….and your ignorance may block you from comprehension!!
