Meet Jeff. ✨ After over a decade of struggles with arrests and overdoses, Jeff hit his lowest point in Baker County Jail. But a visit to an Elevate Life church service inside the jail changed everything. There, he met Justin, who extended an olive branch and introduced him to Foundations of Freedom.

Now, released with no probation or court ties, Jeff has chosen to take control of his life — voluntarily stepping into a new chapter of hope, growth, and transformation. 💪🌟

🎉 3 Years Sober: From Broken to Leader! 🙌

“Broken, hurt, and spiritually bruised”—three words that described Mark on his first day at Foundations of Freedom. Arriving with nothing but faith, he hit ground zero… then surrendered to God’s plan.

Through the curriculum, he turned pain into purpose, excelling as a leader—for the men, for himself, and for the church.

In his own words:
“I had forgotten my purpose and worth until God opened my eyes to the provisions He had prepared for me at Foundations of Freedom!!!”

Today, we celebrate 3 years of sobriety for our Program Director— a man who now helps others find the same freedom he was given. Mark, your life is proof that God redeems stories. We’re so grateful for your heart!

This morning, our founder had the honor of meeting Ronald Armstrong, poised to lead Jacksonville as mayor, with a heart full of faith and a clear vision for positive change. 🙌

Ronald is passionate about bringing hope and healing to our city — addressing issues like poverty, addiction, homelessness, and crime with compassion and faith at the center.

If you haven’t heard about him yet, we encourage you to check out his story and vision for Jacksonville.

🎸🎤 Sunday nights at Foundations of Freedom don’t just happen—they ROCK!

Tonight was a perfect example of what happens when brotherhood, purpose, and fun come together. From conversations that build real change—these evenings are where freedom takes root.

Massive thanks to Rich and Chad for manning the grill and feeding the body, and an even bigger shoutout to Clayton for feeding the mind and soul—sharing powerful wisdom and offering his expertise to help our men walk into true financial freedom.

This is what community looks like. This is what transformation feels like.
We grow together, we laugh together, and most importantly—we rise together.

The first photo? That was Day One — Leonard walked into Foundations of Freedom with nothing but brokenness. Homeless. Hopeless. Hanging by a thread.

The last two? Two years sober. Free. Whole. A man rebuilt by grace.

He gave it everything he had. But 75 days in, he slipped — falling back into the same patterns that nearly destroyed him.
Statistically, the odds were stacked against him. Many would say that returning to the same program after relapse rarely works.
Even some in the recovery community urged caution: “Are you sure this is a good idea?”

But we believed in something greater.

Through prayer, discernment, and grace — we gave Leonard one more chance.

That’s when God took over.

Today, Leonard is TWO YEARS SOBER.
He has a full-time job.
He drives his own car.
He’s a present, loving father.
And now, he’s leading other men toward the same freedom he found in Christ.

When the world said “no,” God said “watch this.”

Never count someone out — redemption is real.

📢 Welcome to the Brotherhood, David! 🙌

After years caught in the grip of addiction—through rehab programs, jail time, and countless attempts to get clean—David hit a breaking point with his last overdose. That moment didn’t end his story… it started a new one.

At Clay Behavioral, someone challenged him to search for something deeper. That’s when he was connected with Foundations of Freedom—and since then, everything has begun to shift.

Today, David is taking the first steps into a new life. He’s not doing it alone—he’s walking alongside a brotherhood of men who encourage him, hold him accountable, and remind him daily that freedom is worth the fight.

The road ahead won’t be easy, but David’s not backing down. He’s building a solid foundation—one rooted in faith, community, and real transformation.

To anyone out there still struggling: you’re not too far gone. The first step is the hardest—but like David, you don’t have to take it alone.
