Happy fall everyone! While this has definitely been a different start to the school year, one thing about children is that they are flexible and able to adjust to change! They continue to remind me to look for the beauty in every single experience.

Calling all 2020 SENIORS!!! A big CONGRATS on this huge stage in your life. This summer- Kids Konfidence will be hosting weekly support groups for 2020 seniors. In our groups, we will be discussing any feelings that have come up since missing out on various activities (prom, graduation, midnight madness etc) and preparing for next steps (college, job skills and internships). Please let us know by 7/1 if you or someone you know is interesting in joining one of our senior 2020 groups. Visit our website for more info!

With the end of the school year coming to an end and summer right around the corner, our career counselors are here to help with all your job needs.

Our career counselors help with the following:

-Addressing the problem between personal and work life in relations to life goals, and the importance of understanding the connection between the two.
-Conducting assessments to evaluate interests, skills, abilities, desires, personality, and other features to identify career choice.
-Creating a safe environment to encourage self-advocacy and confidence.
-Provide counseling for individuals who are having issues relating to job, stress, loss, or finding a new job.
-Creating short and long term goals for career plan.
-Teaching job search techniques:
-Building a network​.
-Learning how to use search platforms.
-Finding the right job.
-Writing a resume and cover letters.
-Creating a portfolio.
-Mock interviews

At Kids Konfidence we stand with our black community during this time. We will never stay silent on the matter of justice and we teach our kids to do the same! This next generation refuses to stay quiet and stands up for their beliefs. Children are not born with hate, racism is passed down and taught. We want all of our children to be the ones to stop the cycle and to stand up for every black life that has been taken due to police brutality and racism. Black lives matter, Justice for George Floyd.
