Ivy Hall Nursing Home recently hosted a Fall Festival! 🍿

The event featured Twister for prizes, balloon animals, popcorn and caramel apple cider. Additionally, Broad River staff provided a warm fire and s'mores for the staff and residents.

It was such a fun activity for all to participate in and embodies what being a part of the BRR community is all about!

Therapy comes to life in so many meaningful ways across our BRR communities!

At , our OT team is leading a vibrant group session that keeps residents moving and connected. At Cascades Verdae , residents are engaged in a playful turkey shoot game that builds coordination and confidence. And at Continental Manor, creativity is flowing as residents make handmade soaps for both gifting and personal enjoyment.

These everyday moments show how purposeful activities support strength, independence, and joy in therapy. So proud of our teams for making it happen!

Last month was National Physical Therapy Month, and we are proud to honor our incredible Physical Therapists who work every day to restore strength, mobility, and independence for our residents.

At Durham-Hensley Health & Rehab, Chelsea Roy, PT brings compassion and skill to her hometown community, helping residents return to the activities they love. At The Stratford, Kylene Bauer, PT empowers residents like Marlene, whose dedication in therapy has helped her grow stronger each week. And at Weakley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, the amazing team pictured below recognized that October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month: wearing pink to honor fighters, celebrate survivors, and remember those we’ve lost.

A big congratulations for Ms. Deborah Powell is in order! 🥳

Ms. Deborah was admitted to Smoky Mountain Health and Rehab after an extended hospitalization that led to increased care needs. She required assistance with all transfers, daily activities, and was unable to walk at admission.

Through dedicated OT/PT services, she is now independent with her daily activities, transfers, and walks confidently with a walker. Ms. Powell has now been discharged home after a brief stay, and graduated with Honors! 🎉

A special shoutout to COTA Griffin Gantte for your exceptional care and support throughout Ms. Powell’s journey.

Thank you, Ms. Powell, for letting us be part of your success and for choosing Broad River Rehab!

Residents at Abundant Christian Living Community had a blast playing our very own Fall Feud: a seasonal twist on the classic Family Feud game! Two teams went head-to-head answering questions about both the fall season and fall prevention.

Our Philosophy

We at Broad River believe that there is little skill required in identifying needs in skilled nursing. Simply walk down the hall of any facility and you will observe many clinical needs. The skill in skilled therapy, however, comes from having the passion (for the population we serve) and knowledge (both clinical and regulatory) to know how to address these needs. That is why Broad River Rehab promotes a culture that values passion and knowledge; formally investing internally and externally in ensuring its therapists have the passion, knowledge, tools, and experience to meet the clinical needs of the residents and clients that we serve.
