Autism Advocacy Day at the Madison State Capitol was a huge success. I felt humbled to stand shoulder to shoulder with providers from every corner of Wisconsin 🦡 The Badger State sure knows how to show up and advocate! Huge thank you to Dr. Thompson and the Wisconsin Autism Providers Association (WAPA) for organizing so many meetings with our elected representatives to advocate for our families.

BCBA Janelle had the opportunity to speak with Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara and other lawmakers to share that data from 2020 shows the rate of an autism diagnosis in Wisconsin (and nationally) has risen to 1 in 36. We need the 2025-2027 biennial state budget to reflect an expansion of - and commitment to - Medicaid services for Wisconsin's Autism families.

Autism Eats gives Autism families an opportunity to enjoy restaurant meals without the stress that often accompanies these outings. Since everyone in our private room "gets it" there is no need to explain any behaviors or feel like all eyes are on us. It is a wonderful way to spend time with other families in an Autism-friendly non-judgmental environment ✨

Cost includes your entire meal (and gratuity!) so there is NO WAITING for a bill at the end of the meal! Our seating area is reserved so there is NO WAITING for a table!
