Myofascial Release (MFR) offers a wide range of physical, emotional, and neurological benefits because it addresses restrictions in the fascia—the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, nerve, and organ in the body. When fascia becomes tight or restricted (from injury, stress, inflammation, or trauma), it can create pain and limit movement.
Many children with special needs live in a constant state of fight or flight, where their nervous systems remain on high alert due to sensory overload, anxiety, or physical discomfort. This can make it difficult for their bodies to rest, focus, and self-regulate. Through gentle, sustained Myofascial Release, I help calm the nervous system and create a sense of safety within the body—allowing the child to move from tension to trust, and from overwhelm to peace.
