The year 2021 is over, and 2022 is in full swing. Another year has come and gone.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

It’s the time of the year again for some much-needed reflection and introspection to set the right tone for the new year!⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
I have been busy coming up with my goals for 2022, and I wanted to share the biggest ones with you. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
1️⃣ The first goal I have for 2022 is 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Be intentional with my faith⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Be intentional with my family⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Be intentional with my fitness ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Be intentional with my friends ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Be intentional with my finances ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

I am working toward making each thought and relationship matter. My hope is to leave others better than I found them…including myself.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

2️⃣ The second goal I have for 2022 is 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Life is a gift and we are blessed. We never know how much time we have so, let’s not waste it. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

This is similar to my first goal in that I want to be intentional with my thoughts and energy and different in that I don’t just want to have the intention in my mind, I want to take action– 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
Of course, bad things can happen however, if I am being intentional in my thoughts & actions, that will mitigate risk.⁣⁣⁣

3️⃣ The third goal I have for 2022 is 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Examples of this include:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
- Supporting my husband with encouragement, hard work, prayer…⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
- Supporting my nutrition coaching clients to feel and be successful with their weight management & wellness⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
- Supporting small businesses to help keep them successful, especially in these challenging times ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

- Supporting those who have not felt successful in a while– or ever ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Ever since then, we have enjoyed variations of this savory, hydrating snack. ⁣⁣

There really isn’t much of a recipe because ingredient amounts are a personal preference:⁣⁣
🥒 Slice/chop cucumber any way you like & put in a small bowl⁣⁣
🌶 Sprinkle chili powder (or chile lime seasoning) on top⁣⁣
🍋 Add the juice of a lime or lemon⁣⁣
🧂 Dash of salt, if desired⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Y’all, this takes the edge off the “snacky” feeling you get when you want to eat but you don’t need more calories in your life. ⁣⁣

The process of working towards a goal is a journey.⁣
But, the journey often takes longer than we would like it to.⁣
Sometimes, we feel hopeless and think, ⁣
“𝘐𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘤𝘶𝘵?”⁣
“𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺!”⁣
“𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐’𝘮 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.”⁣

It’s super exciting to reach a milestone. However, we often miss out on many opportunities to acknowledge and even celebrate, the small achievements that happen during the process of getting to that bigger goal.⁣
Acknowledging the simple successes that are part of the overall outcome can help us feel pleased about the process instead of discouraged in the day-to-day drudgery.⁣

To enable yourself to find joy in the process, consider a shift in perspective.⁣
Sounds simple, doesn’t it? Well, it usually isn’t as easy as it sounds— A change in perspective takes practice and consistency.⁣

Start to look for any opportunity to celebrate the small “wins” throughout the day. ⁣
This doesn’t have to be solely associated with a weight loss journey or fitness gains… seek out these moments in all facets of life!⁣
The more you practice this, the more it will begin to become second nature, and the less you will need to think of it for it to take hold.⁣

Food gives us energy and nutrients. These power-packed substances enable the body to pump out the hormones and enzymes it needs to develop and perform to its full potential.⁣⁣⁣

Eating well is a style of eating that supports your best possible physical, mental and emotional health. It includes making diverse and balanced food choices that meet your needs for nutrients and energy. ⁣⁣⁣

Eating well is the overall way we think of and approach food in our lives. It includes having a positive relationship with food, enjoying flavors & textures and feeling comfortably satisfied after eating without feeling guilt or shame. ⁣⁣⁣
