As I was focusing on Jesus in prayer this morning a scripture was brought to my attention. If we look at the news, we can see that perilous times are upon us. God's word reminded me of who he is and that he is faithful. We can always rest assured that he is in control and that the battle is his and he protects us in every situation. This scripture comes from The Passion Translation. Psalm 62:5-6 - I am standing in absolute stillness, silent before the one I love waiting as long as it takes for him to rescue me. Only God is my Savior, and he will not fail me, for he alone is my safe place. His wrap-around presence always protects me as my champion defender. There's no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me even when troubles multiply around me?
We can rest assured that God is faithful and nothing can separate us from his love. I encourage you to rest in the presence of Jesus today. Take a moment to sit at his feet and gaze upon Him. When you do, everything changes.
