✔️Additionally, if you are choosing cremation for yourself or your loved one, keep in mind, your doctor has 5 legal business days to sign a death certificate. Its a whole process that our funeral staff will walk you through every step of the way.

🏍💚We were truly honored to be a part of the 18th Annual Ride for Angels fundraising event benefiting Hospice of Davidson County. It was a meaningful day filled with community, compassion, and support for an incredible cause. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. Nicholson is proud to stand alongside those who care so deeply for others.

🏍️ It’s officially Ride for Angels Week! Are you ready to ride? 🏍️

🎟️ Early Bird Registration is still open!
Register by Friday, 07/18 at 5 PM to save $5!
We’ll also have day-of registration at Denton Farm Park — just a heads up, prices will increase by $5.

But that’s not all — there are two great ways to support Hospice of Davidson County this week while getting ready for the ride:

🍻 Wednesday, July 16 | The Smoke and Oak
Stop by for a special featured drink — a portion of proceeds will go to HODC in support of the Ride for Angels, and we'll also be set up on-site for ride registration and more!

🍔 Thursday, July 17 | 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Lunch at S&S Grill – Thomasville
Enjoy a delicious meal — a portion of proceeds will benefit HODC. Plus, we’ll be set up on-site for ride registration and more!

🚧 We’ve also had some questions about the construction on HWY 64 and how it might affect the ride this Saturday. As of now, the construction is expected to be completed by Friday around noon. DCS and HODC are closely monitoring the situation and will post updates on our social media if anything changes. Please check back here before the ride for the most up-to-date information.

👋Help us welcome Alex to our Nicholson team!
Alex started with Triad Cremation & Funeral Service in August of 2024 as a Funeral Director, and moved to Nicholson from there. He is a Stokes County native and lives in Walnut Cove, NC. Alex attended South Stokes High School and graduated in 2020 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, obtaining a BA in Mathematics. He became a Licensed Funeral Director in July of 2024, after serving as a Provisional Funeral Director. Alex loves being in a profession where he can help people when they need it the most.
Alex married the love of his life, Sloan, in August of 2024 and they live together with their dog, Winston, and their cat, Aspen. He and Sloan are members of Germanton Baptist Church and love serving in the mission field. Alex loves to stay active by playing golf, disc golf, and men’s softball. He is thankful for the support of his family and friends in his life’s journey.
