As I was searching for an article on the web this morning, I came across the below article and would like to share it with each of you.
We each know how MS affects our bodies, physically, mentally and emotionally. There's nothing about us that MS doesn't touch, and the 'average person' cannot understand this. Only the MS 'ers can truly understand what MS has done to us... how it's currently affecting us ... and what we're concerned with for our future. Each of us have different experiences, symptoms, and treatment plans. MS is definitely different for each diagnosed person. But just because we have an Autoimmune illness that has no cure, YET....we must remain strong.
The way that I personally remain strong is due to my relationship with Jesus Christ. Without Him as the Leader of my life, I could do nothing. But with Him, I live with this illness daily and try to 'take only one day at a time'. We didn't do anything to get this illness, it just happened. So each of us have to accept the fact that we have this illness; accept the fact that MS is going to change our lives in so many ways that we can't control; accept the fact that we'll lose some abilities to do things that we used to do; and accept the belief that we WILL get through this and live our lives the best that we possibly can....
We cannot give up! We cannot quit! We MUST 'Keep on Keepin' On' and fight this battle and give it our best!!!
It is what it is... So we have to deal with it!!!
We must BELIEVE "If God brings me to it ... He WILL carry me through it"!!!
Until then ...
