Can drinking too much water be bad for stomach acid? Yes! Here’s how: We should never eat and drink at the same time. This dilutes the acidity of the acid which causes less absorption of minerals and vitamins from the food. Stomach acid burns and has to extract the minerals from the food so if you’re already deficient in certain minerals, the overconsumption of water makes it worse.

Drink liquids 30-40 minutes before OR after your meal but never at the same time.
