Can we spot the difference?

I can’t express this enough. Form is everything.

The photo on the left is the wrong form. The photo on the right is the correct form.

This person sits at a desk a lot so her shoulders are pretty rounded. We are working on elongating her neck and keeping her shoulders pressed away from the ears. On top of this we are using our core with every exercise even upper body exercises.

Better posture helps alleviate pain!

Oh and she’s losing body fat and gaining muscle in the process!

Christine came to me as a long time runner wanting to build muscle and make sure her nutrition was full of nutrients and fueling her body properly so she can be best she can be. Super proud of her!!

HAPPY SATURDAY!!

Below are my results after I completed a 3 day fast from a company called Plexus. Now I was super skeptical because of knowing what I know about being in too deep of a calorie deficit for too long can really mess up your metabolism. A couple of my clients were doing it or had done it and I needed to learn more to better educate people on it based on my knowledge. I felt based on how my lifestyle is. It would only benefit and not hurt. Due to the fact that it was a short fast so I would be in a deep calorie deficit for only a short period of time and I planned to go back to my normal eating after the fast. There are several benefits to fasting which is as follows:
-your body is forced to use what you have reserved for energy and fuel since there are not many calories going in.
-Many say it burns unwanted fat. Which is true you will be using up your glycogen stores as well as your fat stores. This is how your body survives when you are starving. Yes essentially you are starving your body.
- with proper hydration it’ll also flush out toxins and assist with your gut microbome.

HOWEVER

You need to be educated on how to fuel your body prior to doing this! You can very easily be at a plateau and falsely think this will assist with your plateau. It may not help because of the fact that your plateau is caused by being in a calorie deficit already and your body has adapted to the calories you are eating.

IF YOU ARE EATING LOW CALORIES ALREADY FASTING CAN MESS WITH YOUR METABOLISM.

You would need to reverse diet first to work on getting your metabolism working for your body not against it.

This fast incorporated high protein from bone broth and vegetable soup as well as a protein shake. Mixed with electrolytes and a granola bar.

My opinion is it isn’t for every body. Be educated. It should be done maybe every 6 months to a year.

For me it helped me with gastrointestinal issues I was dealing with. The weight loss wasn’t expected and I expect to gain a couple pounds back due to the fact that some of the weight loss is from water weight. I am now taking a more natural more potent probiotic that actually works. As well as it reduced the inflammation by cutting out all processed foods and added sugars and i was able to allow my body to detox. I did not lift during this fast. I rested more and allowed myself to destress.

I truly believe stress and hormone imbalance caused my body to change rapidly post breastfeeding. This fast helped regulate my hormones to allow my body to process foods better.
