✨ What Your Pelvic Floor Wishes You Knew✨

Hi, I’m your pelvic floor 👋 — the set of muscles quietly holding you up (literally) every day. You don’t see me, but I’m doing a lot more than you think. Here are a few secrets I wish you knew:

💡 I’m not just about Kegels. I need variety, strength, flexibility, and coordination.
💡 Drinking less water won’t solve leaks or urgency — in fact, hydration helps me.
💡 I’m the foundation of your core strength. Without me, your ‘core’ isn’t complete.” 
💡 Tight doesn’t equal strong. Sometimes I need rest and release as much as work.
💡 S*x should never hurt. Pain is your body’s way of asking for help.
💡 Even something as simple as a Squatty Potty can make my job way easier.
💡 And don’t forget — breath is powerful. Every inhale and exhale shapes how I work.

Take care of me, and I’ll keep showing up for you in ways you might not even realize. 💜🗣️

A mama at 32 weeks recently asked me: “When’s the best time to start birth prep?”

Honestly — you can start anytime in pregnancy, but the third trimester (around 30–34 weeks) is a sweet spot. It gives you time to learn and actually practice the tools before baby arrives (instead of scrambling last minute).

During this time we focus on things like:
✨ Breathing and pelvic floor connection
✨ Labor positions that support your body + baby
✨ Perineum and pelvic prep
✨ Strategies for pushing (so you feel more in control when the time comes)
✨ And even movements + gentle exercises you can safely use right away in early postpartum — so recovery feels a little less overwhelming.

I usually recommend starting before 36 weeks so you feel confident, prepared, and supported heading into labor.

Birth prep isn’t just about delivery — it’s about making pregnancy feel better and setting you up for a smoother recovery.
