That all-or-nothing mindset? It's the enemy of progress. Progress lives in the messy middle, in getting back out there, in keeping moving, in choosing to try again.

This is where it starts!

Not in the gym, not with the perfect program. But right here in the kitchen building a strong foundation.

Getting our kids involved in the cooking isn't always easy, clean and never perfect. It's not just about making a mea.

It's about teaching them what real food looks like, how to take care of our bodies, and build habits that stick for life.

They don't need perfection, they need exposure. Small moments like this turn into lifelong habits.

Sure, everyone celebrates when the number goes down. But here's what actually matters:

> Do you have more energy?
> Can you play with your kids without getting winded?
> Can you carry your plate to the dinner table without help?

The scale doesn't capture strength. It doesn't measure joy. It doesn't show the life you're getting back.

So look beyond the number for a second. What are your non-scale wins? ๐Ÿ’ช

There was a time I was told I should probably never back squat again. I was a 20 year old college athlete being told I can no longer squat due to a lower back injury.

And for a while... that sticks with you.

I started questioning what my body could handle, trying to play it safe.

But over time, I realized something.

Avoiding movement wasnt the answer. Learning how to move better was.

So I rebuilt. Step by step, rep by rep.

Now 20+ years in... I'm still doing the very thing I was told to avoid.

And helping others do the same... "so call me maybe" ( Carly Rae Jepsen)

At AP Family Fitness, we're not obsessed with the number.
We're obsessed with the trend.

- Body fat percentage over time.
- Skeletal muscle over time.
- Circumference measurements.
- How your clothes fit.
- How you feel!!

If the scale is the only thing you're measuring, you're missing the real progress.

Real transformation shows up in places the scale can't see. In strength. In how your body moves. In the clothes that finally fit right. In the energy you have at the end of the day.

That's what we track. That's what we measure. That's what matters. ๐Ÿ’ช
