Soft Skills aka, "Human Skills" which allows people to be better leaders. “Hard Skills” relate to the specific technical knowledge and training needed to do your job. 💫

What are some Interpersonal Skills?
👂 Listening - Understand the needs of others. Hearing versus listening.
🗣️ Communication - In a clear and concise manner when speaking or writing.
🫂 Empathy - Putting yourself in someone else’s situation and understanding their point of view.
✅ Positivity - A great attitude about your organization, team, and work.
🗨️ Negotiation - Ability to reach an agreement with those with conflicting views.
💥 Response to conflict - Able to diffuse a tough situation.
🏆 Leadership - Making decisions in a timely manner, supporting others, managing change, and leading by example.

Here are our 5 Tips for Starting a Successful Telemedicine Practice:

1️⃣ Credential with at least 4 Telemedicine Platforms: This allows stacking. If one platform is slow, another can be accessible.

2️⃣ Apply for Multiple State Licenses: You will have the flexibility of working in states with large patient volumes and you can work in various time zones at different times of the day.

3️⃣ Learn the Types of Telemedicine Companies & Visits: Maximize your time by learning how to manage synchronous and asynchronous visits.

4️⃣ Be Intentional and Efficient in Documentation: Use tools to shorthand documentation. Learn how to do safe PEs over telemedicine by reviewing AAFP or other society recommendations.

5️⃣ Avoid DME: Management of DME in telemedicine has been fraught with fraud. It's best to avoid it.

Writing your bio - Be Yourself

Accomplishments
Write in the 3rd person
Share something personal
Use humor but no sarcasm and nothing politically incorrect
Link to your writing - a blog or an article on LinkedIn
Follow the rules - if they ask for 100 words, don't give them 320

FUNCTION:
Be brIef
InformatIve
Answer the quest ion, "Who is this writer/guest?"

BE PREPARED:
Have a 100-word bio
Have a 250-word bio
Have 3 links - website if you have one, LinkedIn, a company where you have a
bio posted, research publication, etc.
Different plat forms require different formats - 200 characters vs 2000 - keep
your audience in mind - are you trying to get hired or stay relevant?
Avoid bland, overused words - when in doubt , leave it out.
Keep it high level and leave details for the interview.
