Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Tokala Inajinyo Youth Leadership Mentoring Program has been doing their part bringing awareness and also supporting our tribe’s survivors of boarding schools.

Tokala Inajinyo/Sicangu Youth Council members set up a booth outside the LNI Oceti Sakowin Oyate Treaty Conference December 12th-14th at the Holiday Inn in Rapid City, SD. We had all of our binders on all the boarding schools in the state of South Dakota. Each binder has information on the school. We will be adding a few more binders as there is 35 boarding schools in South Dakota. We presented our research with a slideshow of each school, our boarding school survivor support group (which is held every month), boarding school syndrome, and orange shirt day. 🧡
