Not all s***m are created equal
Every man, even when healthy, has a range of s***m quality in his semen. Nature isn’t perfect — some s***m are good, some s***m aren’t so great, and some s***m may even be dead.
If you’re dealing with male-factor infertility, you may have additional s***m health challenges that could stand in the way of your success: poor swimmers (low motility), too few s***m (low count), misshapen s***m (abnormal morphology), or damage to the genetic material that s***m contain (DNA fragmentation).
No matter your age or health status, you want to put your best s***m forward.
Traditionally, a clinic would process your semen sample using a spinning (centrifugation) procedure to separate out the good s***m from the bad s***m. Scientific research has shown that spinning can damage s***m (DNA fragmentation), which can lead to poorer pregnancy outcomes.
