"How often should I get massage?" I recommend letting your body set the pace. If you suffer from chronic pain, start with a 1 hour full body assessment session to learn how your muscles respond, what the core source of pain might be, etc. Next, come once a week for at least 30 minutes of work focused on your worst problem area...UNTIL you get to the next appointment and can say, "I don't feel like I need it today!" At this point, put 10 days to 2 weeks between sessions, until you can again say "I don't feel like I need it". With this pattern, increase the time between sessions.
With each session, superficial tension and muscles let go more quickly, and we spend MORE of the session addressing deeper restrictions, easing your body into pain-free living and unwinding longstanding pain patterns.

Let's talk about chronic pain. Depending on which medical professional you talk to, "chronic" can refer to a condition that persists or recurs for a period of anywhere from three weeks to years.
Pain, or "-algia" we all know. We hear it referred to in medical terms, describing where the pain is: myalgia (muscle pain), fibromyalgia (muscle fiber pain), neuralgia (nerve pain), arthralgia (joint pain), and so on.
For 18+ years, I have enjoyed helping countless people unwind the chronic pain patterns in the soft tissues of the body, whether it originated from an old accident, injury, illness, stress, trauma, or the common way life tends to build up in our bodies.
It takes a lot if energy to be in pain. Let's see if a therapeutic session can start unwinding your chronic pain and free up more energy for life!
