Sicily reveals itself, place by place.

We begin in Castiglione di Sicilia, tucked into the hills beneath Mount Etna. Mornings open with yoga. Days are filled with volcanic landscapes, wide views, and wine grown from the earth beneath our feet. From there, we move to Castelmola, perched above the Ionian Sea, where ancient stone meets open sky and salt air.

In Ortigia, life gathers in many forms. Markets alive with color. Temples holding centuries. Baroque streets meant to be walked again and again. Meals shared, stories traded, flavors lingering. Further south, Ragusa and Noto draw us deeper into history. Grand staircases, sunlit piazzas, beauty layered and alive.

In Modica, we settle into the rhythm of daily life. Chocolate made by hand. Herbs, aperitivos, easy laughter. Evenings that feel warm and familiar.

This is how we experience Sicily.
Together.
Present.
Enjoying the richness of being here.

“In Sicily, food is love and the street is a stage.” — Theresa Maggio

Meals turn into moments.
Conversation stretches.
Laughter moves easily between stone walls.
Hands speak as much as words.
Plates are passed. Time loosens its grip.

Here, food is a celebration of being alive.
Of sharing space.
Of letting the senses lead.
Of remembering how good it feels to be human.

To eat this way is to feel welcomed into life itself.
Nourished, included, at ease.

If this kind of joy has been calling you,
we’d love to share the table with you.

This journey through Sicily moves slowly, as it should.

Each place offering its own rhythm, its own way of meeting us. Together they create an experience shaped by land, history, and the quiet moments in between.

📍 Castiglione di Sicilia
Where we arrive gently, held by hills, vineyards, and the quiet presence of Mount Etna nearby.

📍 Mount Etna
Ancient, powerful, alive. We walk her slopes and remember how small and spacious we can feel at once.

📍 Ortigia
Stone, sea, and stories layered over centuries. Markets, temples, and time that slows on its own.

📍 Modica
Where we settle in. Chocolate, shared tables, warm evenings, and a feeling of being at home.

Eight days. Seven nights.
Sun kissed history. Warm Sicilian smiles.

If you feel yourself leaning toward this kind of experience, there’s room for you here.

Some journeys don’t announce themselves loudly.
They unfold slowly. Gently. In ways you feel more than understand.

This is Sicily as an experience.
Not rushed. Not overplanned.
A soft arrival into beauty, presence, and time that stretches just enough.

Each place offers something different.
Perspective. Ease. Depth. Warmth.
And somewhere along the way, something in you settles.

This isn’t just a place you visit.
It’s something you carry home.

If you’re feeling that quiet pull, there’s room for you here.

Truly exceptional is one phrase I can share about the natural beauty we experienced in Sri Lanka. Jungle and ocean, temples and yoga shalas, elephants and sea turtles and monkeys and birds. And so many incredible humans.

I have SO much to share about these last five weeks away, this post is just the beginning 💕

I'm back to teaching tomorrow evening, Friday 6pm Vinyasa at Practice Yoga Austin--donation class so drop in and see me.

I'll be adding a lot of new classes to my schedule soon--and anchoring down in Texas for a bit as this New Year unfolds!

Lots of goodness brewing to share with y'all ✨💖✨

A little peek into our Sri Lanka New Years retreat and travels...

01/13/2026

Some experiences don’t end when the trip does.
They settle into the body.
Into the way you breathe a little slower, listen a little deeper, move with more trust.

This was a week of ocean mornings and temple afternoons.
Of yoga that felt like remembering, not performing.
Of laughter, stillness, salt on skin, fireworks in the night sky.
A New Year welcomed not with urgency, but with presence.

Sri Lanka gave us more than memories.
It offered a rhythm we’re still carrying.

There’s something about Sicily that doesn’t ask for your attention, only your presence.
The light resting on old stone.
Time moving just slowly enough to be felt.

Life feels simple there.
Walk. Breathe. Notice.
Let the body soften into the day.

We’ll gather in that way.
No fixing. No striving.
Just people meeting the land, and themselves, as they are.

If you feel the quiet yes,
you’re already part of it.

Over the past days in Sri Lanka, I’ve been sitting with how quietly powerful it is to share time and space with others without needing to arrive anywhere. A retreat, yes—but also something softer than that. A rhythm. A shared unfolding.

I keep thinking about moments that don’t make it into schedules. Morning coffee before practice. Sand on the floor that never quite leaves. Conversations that start with laughter and end in long pauses. The way people soften when they feel safe enough to just be.

Behind the scenes of this retreat were ordinary things that felt anything but small. Breath moving together. Silence that didn’t need filling. Meals stretched longer than planned. Practice that met people exactly where they were. These were not highlights. They were the work.

I’m reminded again that transformation doesn’t announce itself. It happens slowly, in repetition, in presence, in shared humanity. It’s not one big moment—it’s many small ones, layered gently over time.

I feel deeply thankful for this place, and for the people who met it—and each other—with openness and care. For the trust, the curiosity, the willingness to stay present even when nothing was being asked. These are the currents that hold everything else.

What moments have been quietly shaping you lately? 🤍
