Probably like many of you, the stories I have heard about healthcare are always the horror stories. The long waits, the mysterious and always expensive medical bills, the lack of control of your own healthcare (you go where and when they tell you). Not having spent decades in healthcare like my colleagues, when I heard the idea behind SOS Mobile Medical it just clicked as something special. I'm grateful and excited to be part of bringing the house call back! Thanks to Dr Roderick Bennett and Joshua Kolanko for allowing me to be part of this. It's so great seeing our team's support resonating in our next market!

"There are not enough beds to go around and pronounced staffing shortages. As a result, folks may languish in emergency room hallways for hours and leave without seeing a doctor as the skeleton staff tends to patients who are waiting to be admitted. And this situation has only gotten worse during the COVID-19 pandemic."

Our healthcare team has seen this and is still living this. We are working to try and alleviate some of that burden.

Our CMO, Dr. Bennett, is honored to have been invited to be part of Florida’s Coordinated Op**te Recovery (CORE) program. Today, Dr. Bennett attended a talk on the CORE program by Dr. Kenneth Scheppke, the state’s Deputy Secretary of Health. Dr. Bennett is eager to apply what he has learned to help SOS providers bring treatment to the homes of those affected by substance use disorder.
