So, what happens if you NEVER fail...?

It's a sign that you're not PUSHING your LIMITS.👏🏾

Gladiator, you CAN embrace that discomfort of failure, because it's the price you're going to pay for PROGRESS.

Think about it like this, my beautiful souls:
Every time you fall... you build strength to RISE.
Every setback... you step closer to your BREAKTHROUGH.

"But Lisa, failure is so discouraging. What do I do?!"

Here's what you do love.
You INVITE it.👏🏾

Once you invite failure in, you get to celebrate it!🙌🏾

Failure is a sign that you're daring to DREAM.
Failure is a sign that you're daring to aim HIGHER.

It's proof that you're in that arena, running up and down the court, giving it your ALL.

Celebrate it as a badge of honor on your path to absolute greatness. 🔥

I want you to remember this.
Remember that it's okay to stumble and fall.

It's MORE than okay. It's necessary.

Embrace your failures.
Learn from them.
Use them as the wind beneath your wings to soar higher than you ever thought possible.

Tag a friend that can motivate you to invite failure💪🏾

XO, Lisa

Hi, I am Janie Thompson, I believe that we must change how we think to change how we feel to bring about healing of the mind. I work to identify strengths in every person and build on their experiences with new skills and techniques to overcome obstacles. I provide support and education for individual clients and families with empathy and kindness in a relaxed atmosphere. I also challenge clients to grow while building on their strengths for change. I utilized mindfulness as well as behavior modification to augment my client's well-being.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions?
During the first session, I want the client to leave with at least one new strategy or insight moving forward. I want the client to feel comfortable with the pace of therapy to optimize their progress. As sessions continue, there will be more tools, education, and activities shared and most importantly build trust between client and therapist.

What treatment methods and tools do I utilize?
I am primarily a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I will incorporate other techniques/modalities such as, but not limited to; Person-Centered Therapy, Reality Therapy, Unconditional Positive Regard, etc.

Most of my experience and biggest strengths have been with anxiety, depression, poor self-image, ADHD, autism, and life transitions, Behavioral modification.

Physical health and mental health are interconnected and interwoven – the two cannot be separated.

Today your mower might not start; the tire light might come on in your car; your spouse might be stressed from college. Not every day will be a good day. Continue to move forward even if its just an inch. Time will be tough and things will fall into place. Acceptance that we are not entitled to just happiness but to all of the feelings this life has to offer. đź’Ż

✌️ 🌱 “I don’t think we ever wake up and know who we are. It’s a slow unraveling. It happens in the small things. When we stand up for ourselves. When we set boundaries. When we listen to that small nudge to try something new. When we follow our intuition. When we get uncomfortable in the name of our dreams. When we choose to be authentic, despite people’s judgment or disapproval. No, I don’t think any of us will ever wake up and know who we are.
We have to work for it. We have to earn that s**t. “

I want nothing more than for you to achieve your big, bold vision and intentions.

For you to step into the next best version of yourself.

To blow your own mind with who you can become.

To help you go from progressing to THRIVING.

To help you go from Launching to SCALING.

From ordinary to EXTRAORDINARY.

So today, I want to reflect on things I would do differently if I knew THEN what I know NOW.

Things might have happened with more ease if I had (haha)

1. Given myself more grace
I would have given more patience and had been less critical of her. I would have given permission for it to take longer. I would have complimented her on the 100 people that she did reach instead of criticizing her for the 100,000 she didn't. I would have moved away from conditional commitment. Asked myself, would I sign up for something if I knew it would take 5 years versus 18 months?

2. Created more detailed, smaller action steps to get to my goals: In the past, I would set goals with a big, bold completion date; but I didn’t want to get into the granular details of how to get there. I now believe that success is in the details and the step-by-step action plan. I didn’t give myself milestones to indicate that I was on the right path or milestones to celebrate my progress. Therefore, it felt like it took forever to accomplish anything and I would run out of gas to keep going.

3. Spent more time nurturing the relationships in my life:
Years ago, I unconsciously neglected some of the relationships around me as I went after my dreams. Because my dream was so big for me, I assumed they were big for everyone else and that they would understand my absenteeism. The story I told myself is that I sacrificed the time for a greater cause. What I understand now is I’m sacrificing my time for what matters most. Luckily, I was able to course correct that. It took me probably 10 to 12 years of veering off that path to re-engage, but I did.

4. Stopped being afraid
I wish I had stopped being afraid of shining brightly, surprising myself, outgrowing those around me, and leaving my current circumstance of suffering. But I was afraid of what those around me would feel. I wish would have
