🏈✨ This past Super Bowl Sunday was about more than football — it was about connection.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I’m always reminded how shared moments like that can bring joy, belonging, and conversation. Whether you were there for the game, the halftime show, or just the snacks, your experience was/is valid.

Inclusion matters — on the field, on the stage, and in our communities. And if last Sunday brought up big feelings (good or complicated), support is here. 💛

Motherhood in this day and age is not for the faint of heart.

We are raising children in a world that feels louder, faster, more polarized, more demanding than ever.

We are expected to:
✨ Work like we don’t have children
✨ Parent like we don’t have jobs
✨ Heal generational trauma
✨ Stay informed
✨ Stay thin
✨ Stay calm
✨ Stay grateful

All while carrying invisible mental loads no one sees.

Women today are navigating reproductive decisions, career shifts, financial pressure, aging parents, relationship strain, postpartum changes, identity loss, and the constant question:

“Am I doing enough?”

If you are tired…
If you feel stretched thin…
If you’re holding it together but barely…
If you’re angry, overwhelmed, grieving, or just unsure who you are anymore…

You are not broken.

You are human.

And you do not have to process it alone.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth across Virginia and North Carolina, I work with women and mothers navigating postpartum adjustment, anxiety, trauma, relational stress, and identity transitions.

This space is not about fixing you.
It’s about helping you feel supported, regulated, and whole.

If you need someone to talk to, I’m here.

You deserve support too.

🚨 Red flags.
💙 Blue feelings.
😵‍💫 Zero emotional regulation.

If political stress has you feeling dysregulated, reactive, or emotionally exhausted—
That’s not a character flaw.
That’s nervous system overload.

Therapy helps you regulate before you rage-reply.

Normalize this:
✔ going to therapy
✔ talking about hard things
✔ prioritizing your mental health
✔ not doing it all perfectly

If you’ve been curious about therapy but keep talking yourself out of it—this might be your sign 🌱

💬 What’s one thing you wish people understood about mental health?

You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support.

Sometimes therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong”—
it’s about having a space where you can breathe, sort through the noise, and show up exactly as you are.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in your own head, navigating a life transition, or just tired of carrying it all alone—therapy can help you feel steadier, clearer, and more like yourself again.

You don’t have to do this alone.
And you don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out.

✨ You’re allowed to take up space here.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my work is grounded in ethical principles that center dignity, justice, and the prevention of harm.

I stand with individuals and communities who have been harmed by abuse of power, and with those whose experiences have historically been minimized, reframed, or dismissed—particularly marginalized and racialized communities.

Our professional ethics require more than neutrality in the face of injustice. They call us to accurately name harm, to challenge systems that perpetuate it, and to bear witness when authority is misused. Silence, especially when harm is visible, is not ethically neutral—it reinforces the conditions that allow it to continue.

As clinicians, we are entrusted with a responsibility to promote human dignity, advocate for equity, and oppose practices that cause psychological, physical, or collective harm.

I stand with you—not only as a clinician, but as a member of the community committed to accountability, justice, and ethical care.

You are not “too sensitive.”
You’re not “failing.”
You’re not “behind.”

You’re navigating life, transitions, relationships, and expectations—often while carrying more than anyone sees.

Support is not weakness.
It’s wisdom.

So many of my clients come to therapy saying:
“I should be grateful… but I’m not okay.”

Both can be true.
You can love your life and still need support navigating it.

If you’ve been thinking about therapy but keep putting it off—this is your sign 🤍

🌎 Therapy is basically foreign policy for your life.

Negotiations ✔
Clear boundaries ✔
De-escalation strategies ✔
Not engaging with hostile actors ✔
Strategic disengagement ✔

Some conversations deserve sanctions.
Others deserve a hard veto.
