🇫🇷 A Taste of France! 🇫🇷

Yesterday, we brought the charm of Paris to life with our Taste of France celebration! Guests were delighted by the whimsical talents of La Vie en Mime’s acrobatic miming juggling performance, set to the lively sounds of a French accordionist.

We began the evening with a classic French favorite: escargot, followed by a beautifully curated prix fixe dinner from our in-house chef, featuring Vichyssoise soup, Ratatouille, Sole Meunière, and a showstopping Beef Wellington.

Merci to all who joined us for a night of French flavors, music, and magic!

Please join us in celebrating Monica Yorio, our well-deserved Employee of the Month!

Monica has been an incredible pillar of support to our care staff, consistently going above and beyond in one of the most demanding and high-pressure roles in our community. She has played a vital part in onboarding and training every incoming med-tech, ensuring they’re fully prepared to provide the highest level of care to our residents.

Whether it’s covering open shifts (often working 6 days a week!) or promptly reporting any concerns related to resident wellbeing, Monica’s commitment never wavers. Her cheerful demeanor, compassion, and dedication make her not only an outstanding team member, but also a joy to work alongside.

We are deeply grateful for Monica’s loyalty, work ethic, and the light she brings to our community every single day!

🔥 Chef Showdown at Coterie! 🔪🍴

What an incredible afternoon in our courtyard as two talented chefs went head-to-head in an epic culinary battle! Our very own Chef de Cuisine, Chef Jasmine, faced off against the amazing Chef Kelly from Pacific Produce in a sizzling showdown of flavor and creativity.

Each chef curated stunning dishes for our panel of four judges and our residents to enjoy. After much delicious deliberation, a winner was crowned!

Chef Jasmine took home the title with her pan-seared scallop served over corn pudding, topped with charred yellow and white corn, dashi husk powder, and a handmade brown rice cracker.
What made her dish truly extraordinary? She used every part of the corn — drying and blending the husks to create a house-made dashi powder that added a deep, umami-rich finish.

A huge shoutout to Chef Kelly for her incredible dishes and even more incredible sportsmanship. She brought skill, heart, and great energy to the competition!

Bravo to both chefs for an unforgettable culinary experience and congratulations again to Chef Jasmine on a well-deserved win! 🎉

We brought the house down at our Vogue Ballroom Pride Event! We witnessed the fiercest walks, dips, and poses during our high-energy mock ball and the runway was everything.

After the final strut, we kept the celebration going with a special rainbow cocktail and vibrant appetizers that were as fabulous as the crowd. A joyful, love-filled day honoring Pride, self-expression, and community.

This week, we honored Juneteenth with an unforgettable celebration. Bay Area Jazz and Soul set the mood with incredible live music that brought so much heart and soul to the evening.

We followed it with a delicious signature cocktail and a beautiful prix fixe menu that highlighted rich Southern flavors: oxtail, crab mac ’n cheese, collard greens, cornbread, and more. Every bite told a story.

Grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating this important day through music, food, and community. 🖤❤️💚
