📍 Now offering echocardiograms in Pueblo!

We’re excited to share that Southern Colorado Heart & Vascular in Pueblo is now providing on-site echocardiograms, a key diagnostic tool that uses ultrasound to create detailed images of the heart. This non-invasive test helps our team evaluate heart structure, function, and blood flow, often playing a critical role in detecting conditions like heart failure, valve disorders, and more.

Vascular imaging services will also be launching later this month, bringing even more comprehensive cardiovascular care closer to home for our Pueblo patients.

We’re proud to grow with the needs of Southern Colorado. 🫀

Hello, July! ☀️
This month we’re spotlighting how summer wellness and heart health go hand in hand.

💧 Stay Hydrated: Dehydration can raise your heart rate and put extra strain on your heart.
😎 Be Sun-Smart: Some heart medications can increase your sensitivity to sunlight—so don’t skip the sunscreen.
🧠 Protect Your Mental Health: July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Chronic stress and anxiety are linked to high blood pressure and heart disease—prioritize self-care and support.

June is National Men’s Health Awareness Month 💙

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men in the United States. Yet many ignore early warning signs, skip annual checkups, or delay getting care until something serious happens.

This month is a powerful reminder to take action:

💓 Know Your Numbers – Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, and BMI matter.
🥗 Fuel Your Body – A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains supports your heart.
🏃‍♂️ Move Daily – Even 30 minutes of brisk walking can improve cardiovascular health.
🚭 Break Bad Habits – Smoking and excessive drinking increase your risk.
🩺 See Your Doctor – Don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Prevention starts with a check-up.

Heart disease doesn’t always shout—it often whispers. Men, let’s stop ignoring the signs and start taking better care of our hearts💙
