When I stepped into the wind tunnel at iFLY, my first instinct was to hold on tight, to control every movement of my body. But the harder I tried, the more I wobbled.

It wasn’t until I softened, trusted the air & trusted the instructor, that I actually began to fly.

For so much of my life, I thought being “responsible” meant carrying everything on my own shoulders. The belief that I am responsible, I am in control made me “the dependable one”, “the achiever”, the person others could always count on.

But control is heavy. And trying to hold it all can keep us from ever feeling the freedom of flight.

At Vibrant, I see this all the time with clients, leaders, and teams stretched thin by the weight of responsibility. Real growth comes when they learn to balance responsibility with trust. Trusting their people. Trusting the process. Trusting themselves enough to let go.

That’s where wellness practices come in … yoga, breathwork, meditation. They remind us how to release the grip, breathe deeply, and create space for support to rise up underneath us.

October is ADHD Awareness Month. And whether you’ve been diagnosed, love someone who has, or just know what it’s like to feel overstimulated, under-focused, and over-it… we see you.

ADHD brains are beautiful, fast, inventive, and intuitive. But in a world designed for stillness and sameness, it’s easy to internalize the message that something’s wrong with you. When in fact, your nervous system is just asking for different tools.

If you’re looking for simple tactics to help combat high-stimulation moments, here are 3:

💜 Box Breathing

When your brain’s buzzing, structure helps. Try inhaling for 4 counts, holding for 4, exhaling for 4, and holding again for 4. Repeat for 2 minutes. It’s like a rhythm your brain can follow back to calm.

💜 Grounding Pose

Drop into Child’s Pose with a blanket across your back or lie flat on the ground. The weight is soothing, the stillness is regulating, and it signals to your system: we’re safe now.

💜 Name & Reframe

Say out loud: “My brain is overstimulated right now.” Then reframe: “I can reset with one small step.” This isn’t about fixing, it’s about compassion and momentum.

ADHD isn’t a deficit of discipline, it’s a difference in wiring. And with the right pause, breath, and movement, you can shift from scattered to centered.

Let’s honor the minds that work differently, and offer tools that actually work for them.

We had such a wonderful time at Fall last week, giving Chair Massages to attendees & helping folks relax in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

It reminds us that in the middle of the whirlwind of innovation, networking, and nonstop conversations, rest is strategy.

This industry is full of brilliance - big ideas, fast pivots, and constant change. But that also means it’s full of people running on little sleep, back-to-back meetings, and information overload.

That’s why we were there with Vibrant Yoga, offering chair massages right on the expo floor. It was amazing to watch how just a few minutes of pause shifted people - shoulders dropped, breathing slowed, minds cleared.

Grateful to be part of a community that values innovation and recognizes that human energy is the real driver of progress.

Healthy Aging Month is a reminder that you don’t have to wait for the “right time” to start caring about your health. You are aging, and there is wisdom in meeting this season - whatever season that may be - with intention.

Anxiety doesn’t always feel dramatic. Sometimes it’s subtle. Lingering. Constant.

It weaves itself into your routine until it feels like your normal.

Maybe you wake up already bracing for the day.

Maybe you don’t even realize how tightly you’re holding it all until your jaw unclenches or your shoulders drop and you think..

“Oh. I’ve been tense all day.”

This kind of anxiety is tricky because you’ve adapted to it. You’ve learned to carry it. But just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

It holds you back from being fully present, fully expressed, fully *you.* And you deserve more.

The first step to shifting it?

It’s not forcing it away. It’s pausing long enough to notice it’s there.

To face it gently, and start asking:

“What is this tension trying to tell me?”

“What might ease feel like in its place?”

Many leaders think that getting down on the same low, stressed-out vibration as their team is the best way to relate.

It’s not.

Your team needs you steady. They need you grounded, present, and clear so you can lead them through hard moments—not sink into them.

If you spiral into the same stress they’re in, you lose your ability to guide, problem-solve, and keep perspective.

Let go of the guilt.

If you’ve been wanting to start yoga but felt unsure, intimidated, or like there’s too much to know before you start - this is for you.

Our Beginner to Confident Yogi series with is a four-class journey, one class each month through the end of the year, designed to gently guide brand-new students into regular practice.

This is about more than just learning poses. It’s about using movement as a way to shift your internal state. To breathe through the noise. To feel grounded again.

Each class is completely free, and builds on the last:

- September 25 at 12pm: Clearing Anxiety: Breathwork + grounding
- October 30 at 12pm: Easing Anger: Twists + fiery but mindful flows
- November 20 at 12pm: Inviting Joy: Heart openers + playful sequencing
- December 18 at 12pm: Cultivating Peace: Restorative movement + visualization

You’ll leave each session with new tools for your body and your nervous system. And by December, you’ll not only feel stronger and more centered—you’ll be amazed at how far you’ve come.

Jennifer is frustrated with Mike. Again.

She swears she’s been clear, but he still “doesn’t get it.”

Mike, on the other hand, feels like he’s constantly being criticized for things that don’t even matter.

Neither one is wrong. But neither one feels heard.

This is how it so often goes. At work. At home. Even with people we care about deeply.

The truth? People are different.

We all carry our own stories, personalities, and blind spots into every conversation. Without awareness, those differences can create friction, misunderstandings, and distance. In teams, they can lead to silos, frustration, and even cultures that feel more draining than supportive.

Great teams don’t happen by accident. They’re built through empathy, trust, and communication that actually honors differences.

That’s why I’m so passionate about our Conscious Communication Workshop. It helps teams uncover their natural communication wiring, recognize how they give and receive messages, and learn how to bridge differences in a way that creates real connection.
