Tomorrow kicks off Stress Awareness Month.

And if you’re like most leaders and professionals we talk to, stress is something you’re already feeling.

It shows up as:

– constant mental load you can’t shut off
– tight shoulders, low energy, restless sleep
– teams that are “busy” but not actually moving things forward
– the sense that pushing harder isn’t working anymore

So where’s the opportunity this month?

Awareness - it’s the first moment things can actually change.

Not in a “add another thing to your plate” kind of way. But in a “finally understanding what’s happening in your body and your team” kind of way.

Stress Awareness Month is a:

→ Reason to pause and take an honest look at how stress is impacting performance, morale, and health
→ Natural entry point to introduce wellness *without* it feeling forced or disruptive
→ Chance to replace reactive burnout cycles with proactive, sustainable habits

Most organizations wait until things break to start taking this seriously.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to prioritize this…

This is it.

I recently joined a female founders mastermind and finally felt connection, support, and being heard. Being surrounded by women who are building, stretching, questioning, and growing in real time… It expands what feels possible.

So I’m especially honored to be featured here, sharing a bit more about my journey and the heart behind what I’m building:

As entrepreneurs, it’s easy to fall into the pattern of doing everything ourselves. Carrying the weight. Pushing through.

But spaces like this remind me:

we’re not meant to build in isolation.

We’re meant to be supported.

To be seen.

To grow alongside others who get it.

Grateful to be in this room with and excited for what’s ahead.

If you’re a founder, I’d love to hear, where have you found your community.

“We’ll start when things calm down.”

But things rarely do.

There’s always another project. Another deadline. Another season that demands more from you.

And then the pattern becomes: “I’ll start when I finally have space.”

What you’ve been putting off isn’t something that requires a perfect window. It’s the thing that helps you handle everything that’s already on your plate.

Taking care of your body. Clearing your mind. Learning to regulate.

That’s what helps you think more clearly, make better decisions, and move through the chaos with a little more steadiness.

Not when life slows down. While it’s happening.

Start now, even if it’s small.

If your shoulders are up by your ears right now… this is for you. 👀

Most leaders spend 8+ hours a day hunched over a laptop, holding tension in the neck and shoulders.

Then we wonder why we’re exhausted, achy, and stiff.

You don’t need to overhaul your life to make a difference.

Try this quick reset:

• 3 slow shoulder rolls
• Gentle neck release on each side
• One long, slow exhale

It takes less than 2 minutes, but your nervous system will thank you. 🙏

Save this for your next workday reset, and share it with someone who needs to drop their shoulders today.

Most executives train for performance.

Very few train for stamina.

We talk about:

– growth
– revenue
– output
– expansion

But we rarely talk about how long you can sustain clear thinking under pressure.

Executive stamina isn’t about grinding harder.

It’s about protecting:

- Cognitive clarity
- Nervous system regulation
- Strategic energy

This is why we train leaders differently.

At Vibrant Yoga, we don’t just build stronger bodies, we build resilient nervous systems and physical durability that protect decision-making capacity.

Because leadership is physiological.

If your body is exhausted, your judgment follows.

The leaders who win long-term aren’t the loudest.

They’re the sharpest, for the longest.

Longevity is power.

10 years ago, I started Vibrant Yoga with a simple intention: to help people feel better at work and in life.

But the story really began earlier.

Before entering the wellness world, I spent years working in PR and events. I lived inside fast-paced environments where long hours, constant deadlines, travel, and pressure were simply part of the job.

On the surface everything looked exciting and successful.

Behind the scenes though …

People were exhausted. Burned out. Running on adrenaline.

Disconnected from their bodies and constantly operating in stress mode.

And I was experiencing it too.

When I later stepped into the wellness field, that experience stayed with me. I couldn’t stop thinking about how many professionals were carrying immense pressure every single day with very few tools to regulate their stress or take care of themselves.

That realization became the beginning of Vibrant Yoga.

I wanted to bring practical wellness support directly into the environments where stress was actually happening, the workplace.

As a real tool to help people reset, recharge, and reconnect with themselves.

Over the past decade, Vibrant Yoga has partnered with organizations and teams to bring yoga, breathwork, and wellness experiences into workplaces.

But building this company has also been a journey of growth for me as a leader.

Along the way I’ve had to let go of many beliefs I once carried:

-That I had to do everything myself.
-That success meant constantly pushing harder.
-That burnout was simply the cost of building something meaningful.

Challenges, mistakes, and difficult moments forced me to rethink all of that.

They taught me how to trust a team, build better systems, and lead in a way that values sustainability, not just growth.

Today, I’m incredibly grateful for the clients, partners, and our team who have been part of this journey.

Together, we’ve helped bring moments of pause, breath, and balance to thousands of professionals navigating demanding careers.

And we’re incredibly excited about what lies ahead.

We don’t practice yoga to be good at yoga.

We practice yoga to be good at life.

To stand up off the floor without wincing. To reach overhead without your shoulders fighting you. To sit through a workday and not feel completely wrecked by 3 PM.

Yoga is functional strength; it’s mobility that translates into real life.

At Vibrant Yoga, we care far less about perfect poses and far more about sustainable bodies and clear minds.

Because when your body moves well, you live well. When you breathe better, you think better.

Yoga is not simply performative, it’s preparation for real life.

“Once we get through this quarter, things will slow down.”

“We just work better under pressure.”

“This pace is temporary.”

Do any of these sound familiar?

If so, it’s worth bringing awareness to it, and asking yourself if you’re in a work culture that rewards stress.

Stress is not inherently bad, we need to operate & it’s a natural part of life, but there IS a point of diminishing returns, and it often arrives much sooner than we think.

Past it, stress doesn’t drive performance, it erodes focus, creativity, decision-making, and retention.

If you’re a leader and this feels familiar, here’s where to start:

🗣️ **Name the pattern.** Call out the norm of constant urgency. Awareness alone can shift a culture.

😌 Build intentional downshifts. Not accidental breaks. Structured pauses between pushes. Expect friction if your team isn’t used to it.

💆‍♀️ Normalize recovery as a performance strategy. Recovery isn’t a reward. It’s how high performance is sustained.

👑 Lead it. Don’t just policy it. If you’re still operating in overdrive, your team will too. Embodied practices > box-checking initiatives.

High stress can look productive in the short term, but sustainable performance requires consistent regulation.

Wellness Wednesday for a young, active, client-facing team with Relations.

About 20 team members stepped away from their desks for a structured, lunch-hour Wellness Wednesday session designed for real workdays.

No workout clothes. No sweat. No overhaul required.

Just space to reset.

We focused on gentle stretches, desk-friendly breathwork, and a short meditation on burnout, reminding everyone it’s okay to pause.

Thank you for investing in your team’s well-being.

The fastest way back to yourself?

Your senses.

When your mind is racing…pause.

Notice the taste in your mouth. The temperature of the room. The feeling of your clothes on your skin. The sounds around you.

Bringing awareness to your senses is one of the quickest, simplest tools to return to a mindful place.

Take one deep breath in. Fill your lungs. Let your belly expand. And then audibly sigh it out. Push out what no longer serves you.

Then again.

This is yoga, too. Not just the poses, but the awareness. The pause.

Take one breath right now, and notice how you feel.

High performers have a bad habit: We clean up everything.

Emotional mess in meetings? We smooth it.

Poor planning? We compensate.

Someone underdelivers? We overdeliver.

We swing into action before anyone even asks.

But here’s what I’m learning. Not every room needs managing. Not every gap needs filling. Not every flicker needs fixing.

Sometimes leadership looks like this. Sitting back. Letting the lights shift without touching the switch. Watching the show without trying to control the outcome.

On that swing, I realized how uncomfortable it is to just observe. No optimizing. No adjusting. No performing.

Just trust that the system can hold itself.

Over functioning feels productive.

But it quietly trains everyone else to under function. Real leadership is knowing when to stay seated.

I’m practicing letting the room breathe before I step in. If you’re on this journey, how are you making this shift?

As we settle into the new year, it’s a great time to think not just about how long we live, but how well we live - a concept scientists call healthspan. Unlike lifespan, which counts years, healthspan focuses on quality: mobility, resilience, clarity, stability, and meaningful engagement with life.

Recently, yoga researchers and clinicians have been exploring how a thoughtful, consistent yoga practice supports these pillars of long-term well-being, and the evidence is compelling:

🧘 Improves movement & balance
🧘‍♂️ Reduces stress and support mood
🧘‍♀️ Protects brain & cellular health
🧘 Supports cardiovascular & metabolic health

So how can you start?

➡️ Move with purpose: Short, regular sequences that improve balance and joint mobility make a big difference, especially as we age.

➡️ Breathe every day: Five minutes of intentional breathwork can calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and anchor your mind.

➡️ Mindful minutes: Pause between meetings or at the start of the day with a moment of mindful awareness - it resets your nervous system and improves focus.

➡️ Build habits you love: Healthspan is a long game. Choose practices that feel good and fit your life, not just perfect.
