Raleigh General Hospital is excited to share another wound care success story! When Christy first came to the Wound Care Center in May, she was facing multiple wounds and a long healing journey ahead. Week after week, she showed incredible dedication, resilience, and trust in our team.
Today, we’re thrilled to share that Christy is officially HEALED! While we’ll miss seeing her every week, we couldn’t be more proud of her progress and the hard work she put into her recovery.
Please join us in congratulating Christy on this amazing milestone, congratulations, Christy!

Congratulations to Lincoln, Myles, Danni, and Blake! Each winner stopped by to receive a little gift and a special photo with our CEO, David Brash, and we are so proud of their creativity and Christmas spirit. Today, our teams gathered for a special Thanksgiving meal! Our leaders rolled up their sleeves to help serve, but the real MVPs of the day were our incredible Nutritional Services team, who cooked more than 40 turkeys to make this celebration possible. Their hard work fills more than plates, it fills our hospital with warmth, gratitude, and community. And now the real question of the day… Are you Team Pumpkin Pie or Team Pecan Pie? 🥧😉 Tell us in the comments! From our RGH family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving!

Your annual physical could catch a serious condition before you ever feel a symptom. Conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol and even some cancers often have no early warning signs. But routine screenings during a physical can detect them early, when they’re most treatable.

Your check-up also gives your doctor a chance to look at the whole picture: your medications, mental health, sleep, stress and lifestyle goals. A quick visit today can help prevent a major issue tomorrow. Join us as we recognize Joda Meisel as our Employee of the Month! Joda sets an exemplary standard for others through his compassion, positivity, and genuine care for people. He is always personable, always smiling, and always willing to help. His co-workers describe him as someone who would “give you the shirt off his back.” As a nurse of many talents for many years, Joda continues to represent the very best of nursing: skill, compassion, and humanity. His willingness to care for those both inside and outside the clinical setting exemplifies the spirit of making communities healthier. Joda is part of PICC team here at RGH. Congratulations!

We see the difference caregivers make in the lives of our patients every day. Caregiving can be rewarding but also challenging. This National Family Caregivers Month, we join our community in recognizing and celebrating you. Remember: it’s okay to ask for help, take breaks and lean on community resources. You are not alone.

Last week, Raleigh General Hospital proudly donated roughly 400 turkeys to the Beckley Dream Center and the Salvation Army to help support local families in need during the holiday season.
This incredible act of giving was made possible because our employees once again rose to the occasion, showing compassion, generosity, and a true commitment to making our communities healthier. To every team member who contributed, shared, supported, or helped organize: thank you. Your kindness reaches far beyond our hospital walls, and together, we’re making a meaningful impact.
