Natural Anti-Clotting Consumables
Thankfully, my diet is rich in these blood-thinning anti-inflammatories. I've depended on all of them, except ginkgo biloba, for decades to combat 24/7 inflammatory pain resulting from fibromyalgia.
More recently, I've begun adhering to a lectin-free diet to further assist in this process. While I have intentionally avoided nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant & potatoes) it seems I was not fully addressing the problem at hand. Lectins are nasty little proteins that can cause adverse digestive and/or immune system problems while triggering an inflammatory response, as well.
Nuts, legumes, grains, seeds and dairy (although not nightshades) contain lectins. Consuming too many lectins can cause additional adverse effects like vomiting, diarrhea and digestive issues unaware.
Lectins may also contribute to leaky gut and effect immune system function in some people. While those with compromised gut health or histamine intolerance might experience more severe reactions.
I have been on a 20 year journey of research and discovery learning what formulation of diet, medicinal herbs and exercise works best for me personally. As it turns out, I have also been protecting myself from blood clotting issues according to the following article.
These 7 powerful blood thinning foods can help you lower the risk of blood clots associated with heart disease, thrombosis, and stroke...
