ABOUT US

The Homeschool Music Association is a non-profit organization designed for homeschool students ages 8+ who want to learn, play, and perform music together. Our program focuses on group music-making, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and foundational musical skills.

For our first year, we will offer two BEGINNING BAND levels based on students' experience instead of grade level. BEGINNING BAND 1 is for students who have less than 1 year of experience on their instrument. BEGINNING BAND 2 is for students who have played their instrument for more than 1 year. Both bands will have the same Method books, but BEGINNING BAND 2 will move through their book at a more accelerated pace.

OUR PROGRAM

Each rehearsal will last for 90 minutes and will focus on rhythm, dynamics, breathing technique, and musicality. We will rehearse as a full band and split in to sectionals for more targeted practice.

We will have optional monthly meetups outside of the classroom to foster a stronger bond amongst the students and families, and we will provide optional performance opportunities for students throughout the semester.

FALL SCHEDULE

Beginner Band 1 | 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Beginner Band 2 | 2:30pm - 4:00pm

We kicked off the school year on August 4, and our first week back was a blast!
