As we celebrate National Social Work Month this March, there’s no better time to honor the compassion, resilience, and service embodied by our very own Jeanette Collin, Social Worker at Clay County Medical Center.

Originally from Missouri, Jeanette brings not only professional experience, but an extraordinary personal strength to her role. Despite significant challenges—losing her first husband to brain cancer, experiencing a house fire, and undergoing open-heart surgery—Jeanette continues to radiate positivity, warmth, and an unmistakably bubbly spirit that lifts those around her.

Jeanette has been married to her husband, Allen Jones, for three years, and together they enjoy life and family. Together they have three children and eight grandchildren, ranging from 18 years to just 8 months, spread across Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas.

Professionally, Jeanette has devoted 16 years to social work. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology before completing her master’s in social work.

Jeanette joined CCMC in 2020, right at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. From day one, she has been a steady source of comfort, advocacy, and compassion. Whether she is coordinating care, supporting families, or simply offering a comforting presence, Jeanette exemplifies the very heart of social work.

During National Social Work Month, we honor the professionals who make a difference every day. Jeanette’s unwavering resilience, dedication to helping others, and joy-filled approach to life remind us why social workers are so vital to our communities.

Please join us in celebrating Jeanette Collin! 💙

Happy St. Patrick's Day!🍀

Today, our team showed their spirit by wearing green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. And the Dietary crew knocked it out of the park with the Irish menu! From patient care areas to behind-the-scenes departments, it’s always great to see team members come together for a little fun while continuing to provide exceptional care.

Feeling lucky to work alongside such an incredible team! 🍀💚

Behind every great healthcare team is a strong team supporting them. 💙

Please join us in thanking our HR team for everything they do for CCMC and the people who serve our communities every day! 👏

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and at Clay County Medical Center we’re proud to stand together to raise awareness. 💙

Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when caught early, yet many people delay screening. If you’re 45 or older, or have a family history of colorectal cancer, talk with your provider about getting screened. A simple test could make all the difference.

Don’t wait. Get screened. Protect your health.
