🚨 OB Services Are Disappearing, But Not at CCMC 🚨

A new report from reveals a troubling trend: 30.4% of hospitals in Kansas’ urban counties have eliminated obstetric (OB) services. That’s on top of over 217 OB unit closures nationwide since 2011.

As more hospitals step away from delivering babies, Clay County Medical Center proudly remains a trusted provider of OB care for families in north-central Kansas. 💙

🌟 Please join us in welcoming Andrew Still to Clay County Medical Center as our CEO Intern this summer! 🌟

Originally from Colorado Springs, Andrew brings a dynamic mix of experience in emergency medicine, nursing, and healthcare leadership. He started as an EMT, worked in pediatric and emergency care across the country, and is now pursuing dual master’s degrees (MSN & MBA) to become a future healthcare executive.

Andrew will be working closely with Julie Crimmins, MBA, MSN, RN, Director of Inpatient Services, gaining valuable insight into the operations of rural healthcare.

Outside of CCMC, he’s the administrator of an assisted living facility in Abilene, manages a real estate project, and even finds time for beekeeping and gardening with his wife, a U.S. Army Chinook pilot. 🚁🍯🍅

We’re thrilled to have Andrew on board and look forward to the passion and leadership he brings to our team!
