Congratulations to Rich Ray on a successful solo dall sheep hunt less than 6 months after his Jiffy knee replacement! Rich moved from West Virginia after retirement in 2018 to Alaska so he could enjoy the outdoors! He hiked over 40 miles and with a 85 pound pack on his way out! He is thankful for Dr. Sparks performing the Jiffy knee and for Zach helping push him in physical therapy! Brent is another very happy Dr. Sparks Jiffy knee replacement patient. He is only 2 weeks out from surgery and has already been to multiple garage sales, cutting wood, gardening, and climbing ladders! He didn’t require any pain medication after surgery and has only been taking ibuprofen.

"I would highly recommend total knee replacement, Jiffy Knee procedure, with Dr. Sparks. Compared to traditional TKR method which I had done on my other knee 2 years ago, with Jiffy Knee there is less pain, less swelling and stiffness and much quicker recovery. I had no scar tissue issues with Jiffy Knee, but with traditional TKR I had to have scar tissue broken up after 2 months post-op. With Jiffy Knee At week 4 post-op, I was able to walk 1.3 miles on a packed snow trail. At 7.5 weeks post-op, I was back on cross country skis and back to winter hiking up Mt. Baldy in Eagle River. At all of my appointments with Dr. Sparks I never felt rushed, he always had time for my questions and concerns.
