Mission: to help people in pain

Since 2004, the mission of DisabledCommunity.Org (DCO) has been to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Over the past decade, DCO provided information and referral services, educational forums and training work skills to people with disabilities. In 2012, DCO went on hiatus when our Executive Director headed back to school for training in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Over the past year the DisabledCommunity.Org’s Board of Directors has been working toward our goal of starting up Pain Free Clinic for low income people disabled by pain. Our Board is made up of alumni and students of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine at California Institute of Integral Studies.

Our DCO Board of Directors has been growing: Jennifer Bezjak, Jonathon Brown, Beth Gram, Emily Leap and Nikola Zunic with Lori Guidos, continuing as Executive Director.

DisabledCommunity.Org’s mission will continue to support people with disabilities, but we will do so by providing a support network of services, education & employment for medical providers who in turn will be serving people in pain and their communities.
