WashU Medicine is the first site to launch a new clinical study focused on helping people with metastatic bone disease.

The TRIBUTE trial, led by the Society of Interventional Oncology, is testing a combination of radiation therapy and a minimally invasive procedure called percutaneous image-guided ablation to improve pain relief and overall care for those living with bone metastases.

The trial combines percutaneous ablation and palliative radiation for patients with bone metastases in hopes of improving pain relief.
