We were so pleased to host Reach Out and Read Georgia as well as prominent members of our Rockdale County community last week for a visit! Reach Out and Read is a national non-profit, evidence-based program where pediatricians and healthcare providers promote early literacy and healthy brain development by giving new books to children and advice to parents during well-child visits.

Camp Strong4Life applications are now open: Camp Strong4Life is a unique camp experience for kids ages eight to 12 who are overweight (with a BMI at or above the 85th percentile). This year, camp will take place in Rutledge, Georgia, from Sunday, May 31, through Friday, June 5. Scholarships are available to campers who qualify. Visit the link below for more information.

Camp Strong4Life is a unique camp experience designed to make practicing healthy habits fun, in a traditional camp environment. One of many camps hosted by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Camp Twin Lakes, Camp Strong4Life welcomes as many as 60 campers each summer from all over Georgia.

Is it a cold or just pollen? 🤧 With spring blooming in Conyers, it can be hard to tell!
• If your little one has itchy, watery eyes and a clear runny nose that lasts for weeks, it might be seasonal allergies. Unlike a cold, allergies don't usually cause a fever.
• There are different medical strategies to use in children if allergies are affecting your child. Please let us know if we can be if assistance.

Healthy hearts start with simple, active play. Whether it’s a quick trip to the park or a living room dance party, moving together keeps their little hearts strong. ❤️

30 minutes to 1 hour of active play every day is a great goal for most children!
