Thank you Melina Walling for the opportunity to share with you our mission to create a truly sustainable bath and body brand. Sometimes the things that shouldn’t be revolutionary, end up being such.

Being committed to true sustainability (socially, economically and environmentally) is difficult, but it’s worth the challenge. The more commitment and buy in from big business that sustainabile innovations get, the more sustainable innovation are created. Every step forward is important in this climate crisis.

On day 3 of Workd Water Week, we encourage everyone to explore sustainability in their own backyards, on a grass roots level. You’ll be surprised by what you see.

For us, our proudest sustainability initiative might seem trivial and not ‘good business’ to some. It’s our very conscious decision for accessible pricing - in some cases a 40% difference.

As the article states, sustainability is costly. So much so that people in lower income brackets are often priced out of participaing in climate action. If we are going to make a climate difference, businesses need to make conscious decisions to earn less, in and effort of service more - sharing responsibility to create accessible options, thereby lifting others up and meeting the needs of our environment as a byproduct of responsible consumerism. Might seem a bit Utopian, but it’s the mission we live daily being Buck Naked.

Of course, you can help. The more you share and drive awareness, the more we can deliver socially, economically and environmentally sustainable and accessible goods.

💧💧 Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future 💧💧

Yesterday marked the beginning of World Water Week 2024. World Water Week, for those outside of water action, is a little known event that brings together different water activist and stakeholders, offering a platform for collaboration. It’s an essential event in bridging the gaps in tackle the water crisis.

Held annually is Stockholm (who doesn’t want to be there ❤️), this year focuses on water cooperation, for peace and security in its broadest sense: human security, food and nutrition security, ecosystem security, energy security, etc. – and the relationship between all of these. The breaking down of all forms of silos is a key component for successful cooperation, as captured in the title “Bridging Borders: Water for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future”.

This year’s World Water Week provides the forum to identify and promote opportunities for effective water cooperation. It aims, as it always has, at true global interconnectivity. Fragmentation is the enemy of positive and constructive change, which is why bridging all possible borders – real as well as perceived, imaginable as well as unimaginable – is key.

In this, World Water Week reaches beyond the water sector, catering – through water cooperation – for the peace and security of the entire global community.

Hey Buckers, did you know each year, about 400,000 babies and 30,000 women die from preventable complications due to the lack of clean water, sanitation, and hygiene in healthcare facilities (WHO, 2017). It’s because simple habits like handwashing are not possible in many hospitals, leading to severe infections.

This is just one reason why we partnered with in 2022. Helping bring attention to the global water crisis with our Ripple Effect Collection is an essential part of Buck Naked.
