Through adversities,we not only become stronger, but it defines us into the person God wants us to be. In hypnosis your mind is two to three hundred times more alert than at this very moment. If you have ever taken a power nap, you know you are alert, but choosing to relax, that if the phone rings it seems loud and startles you. This is the same relaxation with the heightened state of awareness that I am referring to. To challenge a weakness is to expose it to stress. Hypnosis is like receiving an injection of positive thought.

Success Starts with the right thoughts, and in order for the thoughts to move to actions, they must be embedded in your subconscious Therefore the critical factor to financial and personal success is; Continuously feed your subconscious thoughts that keeps it focused on the success you see. BRAIN RULE RUNDOWN

The human brains is one of God's many amazing creations. Exercise boosts brain power. Researchers studied two elderly populations that had led different lifestyles, one sedentary and one active. Cognitive scores were profoundly influenced. Exercise positively affected executive function, spatial tasks, reaction times and quantitative skills. So researchers asked : If the sedentary population become active , will their cognitive scores go up? Yes, it turns out, if the exercise is aerobic. In four months, executive functions vastly improve; longer, and memory scores improve as well. .Exercise increase oxygen flow into the brain, which reduces brain-bound free radicals. One of the most interesting findings of the past few decades is that an increase in oxygen is always accompanied by an uptick in mental sharpness. Exercise acts directly on the molecular machinery of the brain itself. It increases neurons' creation, survival and resistance to damage and stress.

Part of this I read in a book by John Medina, "Brain Rules"
So now we all have to go out and exercise!!!

Morning Blessing: When life knocks you down, may you get back up again because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world! When your rogue emotions turn you upside down, may you find your footing again by standing on the truth of who you are in Christ Jesus. When your perspective dims because the clouds block the sun, may God Himself break through with a fresh perspective on His promises. Even here, right in this place, you are loved, called, cared for, and appointed to be a blessing to a world very much in need. May the changeable things in your life take a back seat to the unchangeable, never-ending love and faithfulness of God. You're blessed and God has given you a sturdy place to stand. Have a great day!

A can of regular soda can contain the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar. Soda - diet or regular - is acidifying and inflammatory to the body.
Men who daily consume two or more sodas have an 85% higher incidence of developing gout than those who drank less than one soda a month.
People who consume 1 to 2 cans of soda a day or more—have a 26% greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than people who rarely have such drinks.Men and women who average one can of soda per day have a 20% higher risk of having a heart attack or dying from a heart attack than people who rarely consume sugary drinks.
Weight gain is a result from drinking both regular and diet soda. Liver damage, tooth decay, kidney stones and chronic kidney disease, osteoporosis, hypertension, gastrointestinal distress and pancreas, urinary and bladder cancer are all related to soda consumption.
The effects of drinking soda or other sugary drinks is so deleterious to your health that is should be illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume. Better yet, soda should be banned in our nation for anyone to consume.
If you are a soda drinker, now is the time for you to reform your healthcare.

Happy May Day

I read a wonderful story the other day , and I just had to share it with you.
When 'Superman' Christopher Reeve had his accident that left him a tetraplegic, he was initially in the depths of despair.
His close friend the comedian Robin Williams went to visit him in hospital. But he didn't just show up with flowers looking shell shocked, which I think most of us would do in that situation.
Instead, Robin Williams dressed up as an eccentric Russian doctor, in a zany outfit and with a strong accent.
When Christopher Reeve realized it was his old friend playing a joke on him, he laughed for the first time since he was paralyzed and later wrote in his autobiography that was the moment he knew life would go on.
I love that story, because I wish in our society adults were encouraged to play, to joke, to clown around the way children are.
That's partly the counselor/hypnotherapist in me pointing out that laughter kills stress, boosts immunity and enhances creativity.
But also the big kid at heart who know how much joy (and hope) comes from tapping into that fun-loving part of ourselves.
To a week of joy and laughter, Thankful for life!

For me, exercise is all about creating the liberty in my life so that I can do what I want to do when I want to do it. The next time you are thinking that you are too tired, don't have enough time or are too busy to exercise, think about how mobile do you want to be when you are in your 90's. If you want to be up and walking and dancing on your own, then be sure to check out hypnosis for exercise motivation.

Many people come to see me for weight loss. Very often it has to do with stress. I ask them;" What are you stressing about?"
Once you realize that you do stress eat, it’s important to identify the situations in your life that create stress. So make a list of every trigger you can think of that sends you racing for the refrigerator or the vending machine. Examine your life from the moment you wake until the moment you fall asleep, and see when you feel the urge for comfort food. Look at both workdays and days off. It may help to carry a little notebook around for a week and jot down what kinds of events set you off toward a Big Mac attack. Once you become aware of your stressors, then you can develop a plan of action to create alternative behaviors when you are stressed.

Hypnosis Explained Simply.
To explain how Hypnosis works simply, when you talk to someone or have an idea that pops into your head, that is your conscious mind at work. Now a much larger part of your brain is your subconscious. This holds all your emotional responses, fear, anger, love, hate etc. It also holds on to your habits as well, such as smoking, drinking, food cravings, anxiety etc

Now when the average person tries to change any of these habits it’s a bit of a David and Goliath battle. The conscious mind is inspired to change because of something it has seen or heard e.g. Give up smoking.

Now that is a great idea but your subconscious has got news for you. It’s quite happy with getting its fix of ni****ne and it’s going to let you know loud and clear, it still wants it. That is why so many people fail to quit themselves.

Now when you are hypnotised your conscious mind is set aside and the Hypnotherapist is able talk directly to your subconscious mind, placing suggestions that alter its perception about whatever you are wanting to change, so when you are brought back to your normal state of mind. Your subconscious is happily going along with your new way of life.

Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to interact with the subconscious mind in an open-reflective process to create positive change in your life. Hypnotherapy relies on some common objectives and they are, a desire to change and to be relaxed and focused on that change.

Hypnotherapy involves a deep induction to a trance state of mind and this will be maintained during the work to be carried out.

There's a great trick you can use to pick yourself up when you're feeling down.

It doesn't sound like much, I know. But although basically all you do is deeply remember a very happy memory, there's a little more to it...

Brain scans have shown that the same areas of the mind are used when we strongly recall something as when we actually experience it.

Today's Takeaway - So the same joy we feel when we are happy gets triggered again when we simply remember those moments.

Not only that, but research from the Loyla University of Chicago has also found thinking of good memories for just 20 minutes a day can make a person more cheerful in general than they were the week before.

And we all know the impact feeling positive has on our creativity and energy levels! Not to mention we enjoy our friendships, family life and work a lot more.

So here's how to do it:

1) Find a comfortable spot, relax and shut your eyes

2) Start to visualize the happy memory in your mind

3) Recall the sounds and smells. Was the wind blowing? Was the sun out? What were you eating and drinking? How did it taste?

4) Allow yourself to spend a few minutes appreciating that moment and how perfect it was.
