Our Courage to Succeed students had an awesome opportunity to build their job skills at Mellow Mushroom in Midlothian! 🍕

This past Saturday, seniors from the Trinity Episcopal School Football team rolled up their sleeves and got to work!

They cleaned out the Walker House basement and attic, hauled everything to the dumpster, and assembled 16 chairs for the Generosity Collective conference room in Building 19/20.

Huge thanks to Head Coach Sam Mickens for being there and a special shoutout to Team Mom Jennifer Rosen for reaching out and making it all happen!

Last week, we welcomed another awesome group from Capital One to our Richmond campus to assemble First 30 Days wraparound kits for our children and families, along with teacher goodie bags — just in time for some back-to-school surprises for our Charterhouse School staff!

Our Virginia Wraparound Implementation Center (VWIC) team recently attended The Training Institutes at UConn — the premier convening for leaders working to transform public systems that support children, youth, and families.

It was an energizing opportunity to connect with national innovators, explore emerging strategies in systems of care, and bring fresh insights back to Virginia.

We’re proud to be part of this vital work and look forward to building on what we’ve learned!

Shoutout to our friends at Northwestern Mutual - Virginia for providing pizza from Mellow Mushroom for our Child & Family Healing Center staff during their all-staff luncheon!

We’re incredibly grateful for the support and even more touched by a surprise visit from Mellow Mushroom owner Scott Douglas, who personally delivered the pizza free of charge and shared a bit of his journey as a former foster youth.

Thank you Northwestern Mutual, Scott, and Mellow Mushroom for showing up in such a meaningful way!

After losing his wife, Peter Quinn found healing and purpose by opening his heart and home to children in foster care. As a respite foster parent through UMFS and his local church network, he’s become a safe place — and sometimes a much-needed “grandparent” — for youth navigating tough transitions.

Earlier this week, our kiddos had another chance to get moving with The Dance Ed. Project!

After their previous visit with a jazz dance class, founder Kristen Harts and Miguel Perez returned to lead an incredible Latin dance session — fun, creative, and energizing for everyone.

We’re so grateful for partners who help bring enriching opportunities like this to life for our kids!
