But it has been more recent, in the past 5 years, that I have truly become dedicated to all things fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness related, which has led me down a path o

Today, I am a certified personal trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association. I love the gym and I love helping you design an exercise program that gets you results. I quickly learned that food plays a much larger role in results than we think, which led me to study nutrition. Most personal trainers have very little education in nutrition and what little bit of training they do have, it is not customized to fit the individual. As a holistic health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I can help you understand what foods work best for you and help you learn to eat in a way that gets you the best results. For many people, we know what we should do when it comes to diet and exercise, but we don't know why we can't make ourselves do it. This question led me to pursue an additional certification in the psychology of eating. In May of 2014, I completed my certification as a eating psychology coach through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating and am now one of only a handful of coaches in San Diego County to have this specialized certification. Through all of my education, I have been introduced to the most fresh and up-to-date findings on what it actually takes to be healthy. I have also learned about all the tricks that the media and fad diets have been playing on us.
