Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, India, over 5,000 years ago. Shri Ram's very essence and teachings form the heart of Kundalini Maha Yoga. This auspicious day always falls at the end of Chaitra Navratri, a special period of nine days in the Spring when spiritual energy is especially high, an ideal time for spiritual practice.

All are welcome to celebrate Ram Navami with Dhyanyoga Centers on March 26, either in-person or via live webcast. We will celebrate Ram's birth with a traditional Ram Puja where we will offer many beautiful things, including our hearts.

🌘 A total lunar eclipse is currently in progress! During an eclipse, the celestial light of the Sun or Moon is blocked. In our spiritual tradition, this is considered to be a time when tamasic qualities like negativity, confusion, decay, and heaviness are dominant. Shri Anandi Ma and Dileepji advise that we stay indoors during eclipses that are visible in our area, avoid viewing the eclipse, and focus on practices for the duration of an eclipse.

In fact, eclipses are an excellent time to do spiritual practices, since eclipses amplify the effects. Group practices are especially beneficial, but if not possible then individual practices are recommended.

❤️‍🔥🌕🌈 Today, on the evening of Holi, we celebrate the anniversary of Shri Dhyanyogi reaching his final, blessed goal while chanting the name of Ram. Shri Anandi Ma explains, "The spiritual significance of the festival of Holi is to mark the burning of ego... Guru’s grace is the most significant force that can destroy that ego. Without that grace, it is impossible. As you focus on burning away your ego, let that Divine grace shower profoundly upon you so that just as Shri Dhyanyogi achieved Self-realization on this night, you may soon experience this yourself."

Shri Dhyanyogi describes the moment he achieved self-realization:

“I was submerged in the sea of bliss. I have no words to describe this condition. Not only had I never before experienced such supernatural bliss and magnificent light, I had never even heard of it! I wanted to stay in that state forever.”

“The vague uneasiness of mind that I’d had since childhood, the search for my true identity, and my constant fear of death vanished into oblivion. Life seemed full of joy, and realizing that I had reached my goal, I understood the importance of this life.”

❤️‍🔥🌕🌈 Tomorrow, 2/23, is the registration deadline to attend Shri Dhyanyogi’s Realization Anniversary in person. Shri Dhyanyogi compared his bliss of self-realization to the joy a desperately ill man feels when he is suddenly healed. He wanted to stay in this state forever. Later, he realized he had been swimming in the sea of bliss for two-and-a half-hours.

“I realized that my fears were baseless. The uneasiness of mind that I had since childhood, the search for ‘Who am I?’ and the constant fear of death vanished into oblivion,” he said. “Life seemed full of joy, and realizing that I had reached my goal, I understood the importance of this life.”

Shri Dhyanyogi reached enlightenment on the auspicious full moon celebrated as Holi. This is an extremely powerful night for spiritual practice and one of the most significant days of the year to gather for group practices such as chanting, japa, puja, and meditation, so on this day we come together to express our love and gratitude.

Registration is now open for Shri Dhyanyogi’s Realization Anniversary on Monday, March 2. Students who have received shaktipat in this lineage are welcome to participate in-person or via live webcast.
