One of the most common things we hear is:
“I’m not flexible enough for yoga.”

But the truth is — you don’t have to be flexible, calm, experienced, or anything other than willing to show up.

Yoga isn’t about getting it “right.”
It’s about creating space to connect with your body, your breath, and yourself — exactly as you are.

At True Love Yoga, we believe in making this practice accessible, inclusive, and supportive for every body. Whether it’s your first class or your hundredth, you belong here.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to try yoga… this is it. ✨

Sydney, thank you for your kind words and for being part of this community. It means so much to us. ✨

If you’ve been looking for a place to begin (or begin again), this is your invitation.

Spring Clothing Swap

Saturday, May 2nd | 1:00–3:00PM
Hosted by .dharma
Free Event | Please register in advance
Refresh your wardrobe, connect with community, and give back—this is conscious “shopping” at its best. Join us at True Love Yoga for a relaxed and welcoming Spring Clothing Swap, where you can clear out your closet and leave with new-to-you, gently loved pieces.
This event is rooted in the yogic principles of aparigraha (non-attachment) and seva (selfless service)—an opportunity to release what no longer serves you, reduce waste, and support others in the process. By choosing to swap instead of shop new, you’re making a small but meaningful impact on the planet.
At the end of the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to Amethyst Place, a Kansas City organization that supports women and children on their journey from crisis to stability through housing, healing, and supportive services. Your contributions help extend care beyond our studio walls and into the wider community.
How it works:

• Bring gently loved, clean clothing with you on the day of the event (no drop-offs ahead of time)
• Upon arrival, check in and place your items in the designated areas
• Browse, try on, and take home pieces that feel like a fit—no limits, just mindfulness
• Stay, connect, and enjoy a casual, community-centered atmosphere
This is a come-as-you-are gathering—no pressure, no perfection. Just a chance to share, connect, and practice mindful consumption together.
✨ Please register in advance so we can plan accordingly
🌿 All are welcome

There’s no one “right way” to practice yoga — and that’s part of what makes it so beautiful.

Some of us love the quiet grounding of a morning practice, while others need the release of an evening flow. Some days call for slow, nourishing movement, while other days we’re craving strength and heat.

Yoga meets us exactly where we are.

So we’re curious…

🌸 What does your practice look like this spring?

Comment your answers below 👇
Morning or evening?
Slow flow or power?
Yin or vinyasa?
Props or no props?
Studio or home practice?

✨ Save this post and come back to it in a few months — your answers might change as the seasons do.

And if you’re exploring different styles, our class schedule has plenty of options to try something new.

At True Love Yoga, we believe yoga belongs to every body.

Our mission has always been rooted in creating a space where people feel welcome, supported, and safe to show up exactly as they are. Yoga is not about fitting into a certain shape, level of flexibility, background, identity, or experience. It’s about cultivating awareness, connection, and care — both for ourselves and for one another.

Inclusivity and accessibility aren’t just words for us — they’re values we actively practice. From offering modifications and trauma-informed teaching, to providing virtual options and a range of class styles, our goal is to make sure every student has a way to access the benefits of yoga in a way that works for their body and their life.

Whether it’s your first time stepping onto a mat or you’ve been practicing for years, you belong here.

Our hope is that when you walk through our doors (or log in from home), you feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger than a yoga class — a community built on compassion, respect, and true love.

💛 If you’ve ever felt welcomed or supported at True Love Yoga, we’d love to hear about it.

Our bodies move in cycles—yet so often, our practices don’t reflect that rhythm. This two-hour workshop is an invitation to slow down and deepen your understanding of the menstrual cycle and how it can inform, support, and even transform your yoga practice.
Open to all bodies who menstruate, regardless of gender expression, this offering creates a supportive and educational space to explore the physical, energetic, and emotional shifts that occur throughout the cycle. Together, we’ll look at how each phase may show up on the mat—and how to adapt your movement practice with compassion and awareness.
Students can expect:
• A guided discussion on the phases of the menstrual cycle, the benefits of cycle tracking, and how each phase may influence energy, strength, and focus in practice
• A Hatha/slow vinyasa flow designed to mirror the arc of the cycle, with variations offered for each phase
• Dedicated time for journaling and reflection
• Light cycle-themed refreshments and space for connection in community
This workshop is about empowerment through understanding—honoring your body’s natural intelligence and learning to practice in alignment with it rather than against it.
Please bring a notebook and pen or pencil for reflection.

Your nervous system is constantly responding to the pace of modern life.

Notifications. Deadlines. Conversations. Responsibilities. Stimulation from every direction.

Over time, the body can get stuck in a constant state of activation, which is why practices like meditation are so powerful. They help regulate the nervous system, restore balance, and create space for clarity and calm.

The good news? Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated or perfect to be effective.

That’s exactly why we created our Monthly Meditation Sangha — a welcoming, beginner-friendly space where you can explore meditation techniques, ask questions, and practice stillness alongside others.

Each gathering includes light discussion, guided meditation styles, and a short silent practice to help you build confidence in your own routine.
