To attend year l there is an interview process. Please contact me to set up a time.
This is limited to 14 participants, and this will be the only year l class offered this year and will fill quickly.

This is not a fluffy, feel good class. You are fiercely supported as you excavate shadowy, colonial thoughts, beliefs, actions. We build community and spiritual support, and end with a four day vision quest.
Together, we explore walking in sacred reciprocity with all beings and evolve into stewards of intentional, empowered living.

Together, we are changing the world, and remembering the traditional ways of living in harmony and balance.

Both classes are an intensive 6 month program held here at Indigenous Roots or virtually.

This class is VSAC APPROVED.

These late summer days are satisfying and full.
Grateful for the rain received yesterday afternoon.

 Humanity is facing and an enormous leap in evolution and transformation at this time. The transmutation into, or the awakening of the light body can be an apprehensive and challenging experience. This course provides the tools to assist others in this cosmic leap.

A beautiful day with Sky in the morning. Her house is becoming a home. In the afternoon Grady and I made a deal. I’d target practice with him, if he’d walk with me, and so we did. I pinched my thumb right off, so didn’t shoot much, but to have a day with my second daughter yesterday, and today with those I gave birth to, I’m a happy mama.

It was a weekend of depth. Saturday, Julia Wolf, and her partner Steve, taught a guided breath work journey. It was incredibly moving, healing and transformative. It is my intention to bring them back twice a year, to offer this up to our community. Watch the monthly calendar at Indigenous Roots, on fb, for the announcement.
On Sunday, we hosted our monthly sweat lodge, and it was requested that we dedicate it to the young woman who passed away at the Horn of the Moon Trail head. Her sister and close friend joined us to share their grief. We also honored her journey and blessed it.
There are beautiful, bridges being made from our ceremony with Nelida and Rebe in April. A young medicine Carrier from Columbia drove from Massachusetts to be with us for the lodge.
His songs and prayers were passionate and uplifting, even though we didn’t understand the words. The heart speaks it’s own language.
My heart is full of gratitude for the open portals and beautiful people who are bringing their strong medicine.
While I’m on here I want to encourage the Elders to reach out to the youth who are struggling. Many of them are coming with increased sensitivity and powerful abilities and gifts. The colonized world tells them that they need to be medicated or hospitalized. When what they really need is strong support. A month ago I worked with a young man who was 11 years old, who is hearing voices and seeing spirits. Yesterday I worked with a mother and her son who is 15 who cannot sleep because the spirits are talking to him or around him. My job is to bring them tools to work with these gifts that they have. Acknowledging the gifts and teaching filtering and boundaries is essential. They are coming to heal our world.

We’ll need help once more for Fall cut down.

She was so happy to look out of her window, and see beauty, once again.

Dear Community,

It is with a deep well of gratitude that I write this from, for each of you.

The time has come, to make more room for restoration, and reflection. This means that the response time to emails and messages will lengthen for up to two weeks.
It also means that there will be weeks when I’m traveling with Jerry, or simply taking time off, to be in the woods.

My practice will stay open and active, but you will need to plan in advance, and understand that bookings may be several weeks out. My weekends are booked solid until December.

Next year I will most likely teach the Year ll Shamanic Apprenticeship Program with the current syllabus, but condensed into 6 months.

I haven’t fully decided if the first year will be offered, but it will also be a 6 month program from now on.

Thank you for the solid support and fertile ground you’ve provided for these teachings to grow strong roots. For your trust in allowing me to be a part of your lives, your weddings, memorials, and births.

You’ve entrusted my care through two generations now.

Together, beside each other, we have tasted this delicious life, and all of its wonderful flavors. Grief, fear, release, love, sweet joy, authenticity, aligned power, healing, and so much more.

For all of this I am truly honored, humbled and deeply grateful.

It will all continue, just on a smaller scale, as I reclaim some of myself that was overextended.
