A Bittersweet Farewell to Our Miss Frankie

We want to share some bittersweet news with our community. After 12 years of dedicated service, our beloved Miss Frankie is retiring. While we are overjoyed for her as she steps into this next chapter of rest and enjoyment, we will miss her dearly — her kind heart, gentle voice, and the warm smile that greeted so many families during difficult times.

For over a decade, Miss Frankie was often the first face families saw and the first voice they heard when calling or walking through our doors. Her compassion and grace set the tone for everything that followed, and she became like family to each of us.

To honor her impact and the love she brought to our work, we’ve dedicated our playroom in her name. “Miss Frankie Lou’s Playroom” is now a space filled with joy and laughter, just like she always brought to us. On the wall, there is a verse that perfectly captures her spirit — because Miss Frankie truly is a shining star in all of our lives.

Congratulations on your retirement, Miss Frankie. We love you deeply, we will miss you more than you know, and we’re confident you won’t be a stranger.

We believe every life should be celebrated in a way that reflects the person it honors, and yesterday we had the privilege of celebrating someone truly unforgettable: Randy Malchaski.

If you spent time around Chester Frost Park, you probably saw Randy in his wood truck—always hauling, always helping. That truck became his trademark. So it felt only right that instead of flowers, a pile of firewood rested on his casket—a tribute as genuine and down-to-earth as he was.

If you saw a truck full of wood, chances are it was Randy. And now, that simple image means even more to those who loved him.

We’re so honored to have cared for Randy and his family. His story, his spirit, and that unmistakable truck will never be forgotten.🪵
