This weekend I got to experience 3 days of running , covering 70 miles of the iconic Western States 100 course from Robinson Flat all the way to Placer High School. Beyond ecstatic that I got to see old friends, run on gorgeous terrain, and really be able to test the limits of my body. It was epic and so much fun.
Meanwhile, this is what I used to repair myself each day.
1. Resinall K drops under the tongue: treats traumatic injuries, sprains, strain, bruising etc.
2. Acupuncture nightly for soothing muscles, moving circulation, reduce pain
3. Yunnan Baiyao plasters to reduce inflammation, bruising, and cool inflammed beat up feet
4. Tons of food and hydration
Meanwhile, the usual. N95 for crowded situations, KN95 in my pack for crowded parts of the trail, Blis K12 probiotics, Covixyl nasal spray (tucked in my pack for regular use. Nasal Caps herbs to combat the dust. Lightning Pearls Chinese herbs to add an extra layer of antiviral. 30 days until I get to pace my friend to his Western States finish. I have no time to get sick right now. Or ever.
I test Chinese Medicine on myself on the regular to know what works. This is why I started studying this medicine 17 years ago and I’m still in awe of its power today. I love love love my job. Stay healthy out there, and keep moving.
